HELD SEPTE~ffiER 2, 1969 Present: Mayor Minor, Commissioners, Miller, Reese, Stinnett and Vandergrift Absent: None The meeting was called to order by Mayor Minor at 6:42 P.M. Comm. Miller made a motion to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the last regular meeting held August 19, 1969. Comm. Stinnett seconded the motion. Voted and carried. Comm. Reese made a motion to pay all bills in order. Comm. Miller seconded the motion. Voted and carried. Jewell Stoutenburgh regarding the checks she received from the City of Ocoee on July 15, 1969 and also a letter from ~Irs. Stoutenburgh to our attorney explaining how she arrived at the amount of the checks. The Commissioners discussed whether or not she was entitled to the amounts she stated but no action was taken. A resolution was read from the Orange County Commissioners regarding County-wide sewer in Orange County. Comm. Miller reported they were still working on the new City barn but the rain was slowing them up. Comm. Vandergrift reported thaty had a nice turnout for the Labor Day Boat Regetta except for the rain. Comm. Reese reported they were installing a water meter at the Ocoee High School. I Comm. Stinnett inspector, Mr. of bad health. confirmed. reported he had been informed that our buildina Neal Dickens was going to have to quit work De~ause No action was taken until .this information was I I I Comm. Miller made a motion to sell the City's Disc Harrow for ~62.50. Comm. Stinnett seconded the motion. Comm. ~~ller, Stinnett, Reese and Vandergrift voted YES. No NO"S. Carried unanimously. Comm. JI'1111er reported that ,he had not been able to obtain any bids on repairing the City dock on Starke Lake. Comm. Vandergrift made a motion to authorize our City attorney to gets bids on having our ordinances coded. Comm. Stinnett seconded the motion. Comm. Vandergrift, Stinnett, Reese and Miller voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously. Comm. Reese made a motion to have Leroy Turner contact Overland Hauling Co., InC. on South Bluford, Ocoee, and ask them to re- route their trucks down Kissimmee Avenue instead of coming through town. Comm. Stinnett seconded the motion. Comm. Reese, Stinnett Miller and Vandergrift voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously. The Clerk was instructed to write Sid Reeves asking him to cut his lot on the corner of Silver Star Road andCumberland Ave. ~rr. W. H. Wurst was given permission to burn the underbrush on his property on the Silver Star Road. A letter was read from Conrad Balum to the Ocoee Police Department commending apoliceman on helping him find his relatives in Ocoee. Ted Mikalsen gave the City Commissioners the steps they would have to t~e in zoning the City. He stated the County would not be able to help us at this time, but he would help us find a firm or agency to do the work for us and they would help us personally and work with our zoning board. He ts ,to contact the Nayor within a week to let him know the alternatives we may take. Comm. Vandergrift made a motion to adopt Ordinance #506 being an ordinance of the City of Ocoee, Florida, annexing a certain tract of unincorporated land lying contiguous to the Municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee and situated in Orange County, Florida, to vat: Lots 1 through 13 inclusive of Block 6, also lots 10, 11, and 12 of Block 7, Town of Ocoee, as recorded in Plat Book !lA.", pages 100 and 101, Public Records of Orange County, Florida; also the NE~ of the NW~ (Less: the South 30 feet and the North 30. feet and the east 30 feet for roads) of Section 30, Township 22 South, Range 28 East; and also the SE~ of the SW~ (Less: The South 30 feet for roadl and also (Less the West 150.0 feet thereof) of Section 17 Township 22 South, Range 28 East. Comm. Stin~ett seconded the motion. Comm. Stinnett, Miller, Vandergri~t and Reese voted YES. NO NO'S. Carried unanimously.
