Stinnett seconded the motion. Voted and carried.
Comm. Vandergrift made a motion to pay all bills in order Co~~.
Hiller seconded the motion. Voted and carried.

Comm. ~iller reported that Pine Street and Palm Street had been
had surfaced and that Lee Street was being worked on.
A. letter v..ras read by Comm. Vander~rift from residents in the area
of Jackson's Linute I'=arket askinG for a shop~)ing center in that
area.
Comm. [.:iller received 2 bids from the Electrical Contractors for
t~e electrical work on the new Citv barn. Thev were as follows: I
Elmer Kerr Electric - $1+J3.59 and i-Iurst 3ros. Electric: ,)370.00.
Cemm. Vandergrift made a motion to accept the Im'Test bid from
~=~lrst lros Electric. r:otion died for lack of a second.
Co:-nm. Vandergrift reported that Hrs. Estelle Johnson had some
paint and brushes in a plastic ty~s garbage can and that the
sanitation cre,rlhad gotten it by r:1lstal:e. She valued it at ~;ao.oo

Comm. Vandergrift made a motion to reimburse her for the items
taken. CorrJD.. STinnett seconded the motion. Comm. Stinnett,
Vandergrift, Reese and Ililler vctcd YES. No NO'S. Carried un-
animously.
I'layor tlinor read a letter of resigra tion from Com.';].. Nathan II.
Reese. Co~n. Vandergrift made a motion to accept the resignation.
Comm. Stinnett seconded the motion. Cor.un. Vandergrift, Stinnett
and I":iller voted YES. Eo NO! S. Carried unanimousl v.

Comm. Vandergrift made a motion to appoint the five men already
appointed by the commissioners plus any ne,,'r men appointed by
ne~'! electees to serve on the zoning board. Comm,. Stinnett
seconded the motion. Comm. Vandergrift, Stinnett and J.',iller
voted YES. No NOiS. Carried unanimously.
Com,m. r'liller made a motion to nominate Le\1is ~'~l1i tehead to serve
Co~n. Resse's unexDired term of office. Conllil. Stinnett seconded
his nomination. .
Con~. Vandergrift made a motion to nominate Gene Bracewell for
the unexpired term.
Con":1. Eiller made a motion that nominations cease. ConlIn. Stinnett
seconded the motion. Voted and carried.

I':iller and Reese voted YES. Comm. Vandergrift voted NO. Lewis
~litebead was appointed by a majority of Votes.
~!hen I-Ir. 1{hi tehead arrived at the City Hall I;:ayor l\:inor admin-
istered the Oath of Office to him.
~omnl. Vandergrift stated to the Con~issioners that he was going
to resign from the Council and call for an investigation of the
other members under the Florida Sunshine Law. Kayor 1anor asked
that he submit his resignation in writing.
Comn. Hiller made a motion to adopt Ordinance J507 being an
ordinance establishing a curfew in the City of Ocoee, Florida
and providing for the penalties for any violation of this
ordinance. Comm. Stinnett seconded the motioll. Comm. Eiller, Vandergrif-t;.,
Stinnett, and Whitehead voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Cor~m. Vandergrift presented his resignation in writing to the Mayor.
Corr.:n. I"liller made a motion to accept the resignation.
I:otion died for lack of a second. At this time Comm. Vandergrift
asked to be dismissed and he was excused from the remainder of
the meeting.

I :iller seconded the motion. Comm. T.:iller, Stinnett and ilhi tehead
voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Cornm. Stinnett made a motion to purchase a set of double blue
Ij_ght s for the ne\-', poli ce car. Comm. I-iiller se conded the motion.
Comm. Stinnett, ~Iiller and Vandergrift voted YES. No NO'S. I
Carried unanimously.
I~yor ~inor stated that he had asked our Attorney I~. Ben Griffin
to give a resume of our neV! charter at the political rally and
be the master of ceremonies to be held November 3, 1969 at the Ocoee
Shopping Center, if there were no objections. There were no
objections from any of the candidates. Hubert Fox stated that
he thought this "'lOuld be a splendid time to discuss the charter.
COm~. Miller made a motion to accept the bidfrom Hurst Bros to
do the electrical work at the new City barn and to be paid out
of the "rater department's b1jd.e;et. Comm. \!hitehead seconded
the motion. Comm. I':iller, VIhi tehead and Stinnett vot ed YES.
No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
I,:ayor I.:inor appointed Cornm. Stinnett to be chairman of the ~vater
Department and COl11.:n. tlhitehead to be his assistant for the
remainaer of the time until election.
Eayor Einor thanked Er. Raymond Jackson from the 13ank of ~Iest
Orange for the Children signs he had purchased to be placed
in the subdivision.
There being no further business Councilman Miller made a motion
to adjourn this meeting. Comm. Stinnett seconded the motion.

checks in the absence of the I'Iavor until the election. Cormn.

There being no further business Comm. I;1iller made a motion to
