Comm. Vandergrift made a motion to dispense With the reading of the minutes of the regular meeting held October 21, 1969, the special meeting held October 28, 1969. Comm. Stinnett seconded the motion. Voted and carried. Comm. Roper asking the City of Ocoee to de-annex his property on Maguire Road that was annexed for the purpose of building a fertilizer plant. Comm. Vandergrift made a motion to de-annex the Roper property and refuna the building permit but not pay for any expenses incurred in his preparation for builiing the plant. Comm. Miller seconded the motion. Comm. Vandergrift, Miller, Stinnett and Shitehead voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously. Joe Andrews asked for a building permit to build a carporte on the front of his hmnse. He was to get his neighbors permission before the City would issue ~he' permit.. Comm. Vandergrift meported that lights belonging to OrIn do Athletic Association could be' bought at $10.00 each if the City would be interested in purchasing them for' a future softball field. He also stated he hoped the planning and zoning for Ocoee would be followed through on. Comm. Stinnett reported that the new barn had been wired and s~me of the equipment needed had been "purchased. Our attorney, Mike Hamlin, reported that he had killed 2 elk on his hunting trip, that our tax bills were ready and that Ted Mikaelson has a contract prepared between he and Mr. Heile andrthe City of Ocoee in regard to preparing a zoning ordinance for Ocoee. Mayor Minor thanked all City officials for the help they gave him during his term of office and he stated he would work with the new officials anyway he could. There being no further business Comm.
