Leon Adams had inquired about having to pay for the tile installed
under his driveway. Comm. Farmer made a motion that each party
pay for the tile under his-own driveway and the City will do the
work. Comm. Stinnett seconded the motion. Comm. Farmer, Stinnett,
Miller and Whitehead voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Two letters were read by the Mayor from the American Legion per=
taining to. selling alcoholic beverages onoSunday at their Club.
A resident from the area of Hillcrest Heights and Sunny Slopes
asking if he was in or out of the City. Our attorney, Michael
Hamlin stated that our engineers had made a mistake in outlining
our City Limits on the map given us and that Hillcrest Heights and
Sunny Slopes were probably not in the City.
Dal Duppenthaler asked about the property between F.M.C. and
Rockland being in the City. He was to be notified when our
attorney checked into the legality of the charter since some
people voted on the charter that shouldn~t have.
Mr. Charles 'Huffman, 806 Starke Lake Circle, stated to the Comm-
issioners that a surveyor had marked the lot next door to him
2 feet over into his lot. After disaussing this with th~ Comm.
he was going to disregard the stakes until such time a building
was started on the lot.
Comm. Miller made a motion to give the City employees a $10.00
Food Gift Certificate for Christmas. Comm. Whitehead seconded
the motion. Comm. Miller, Whitehead, Stinnett and Farmer voted
YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Comm. Farmer made a motion to pave the street in front of the
proposed addition to the Ocoee Shopping Center. Motion died.
Comm. Whitehead made a motion to table this until more plans .
were made a submitted to the Comm. Cbmm. Stinnett seconded the
motion. Comm. Whitehead, Stinnett, Miller and Farmer voted YES.
No. NO'S.- Carried unanimously.
Mr. McQuillen, fo-the Florida Telephone Corp. was present at
the request of the Commissioners in regard to the telephone bill
we have been receiy.~ng on the extension of 656-1314. In checking
his records he found that the extension to the jail might have
been removed in December, 1967. He is going to check the tele-
phone company records and reimburse the City for the time the
phone was not in the jail.
Herbert Gillis, attorney for the American Legion was present in
regard to the Legion remaining open on Sundays. He stated a club
should be different that an open bar. He is to present a proposal
to amend the' closing hours for a club at our next meeting. The
Mayor proposed to let the ordinance stand as is; with the closing
hours from Saturday midnight until Monday 7:00 a.M.
After discussing the repairs needed on the 1967 Plymouth Comm.
Stinnett made-a motion to find out if we could borrow the money
from the bank.to buy another new pol~ e car. Comm. Farmer seconded
the motion. Comm. Stinnett, Farmer, Whitehead and Miller voted
YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously. Leroy Turner was to obtain
3 bids for a new car.
Bids were opened for tone generators, Federal 10-10's for the
fire department. Comm. Farmer made a motion to purchase 29 units
for a cost of $4,475.50., FOB Ocoee. Comm. Stinnett seconded
the motion. Comm. Stinnett, Farmer, WhiUhead and Miller voted
YES. Carried unanimously.

Comm. Farmer made a motion to purchase a new fire engine in the
amount'of $27,463.60. Comm. Whitehead seconded the motion. Comm.
Farmer and Whithead voted YES. Comm. Miller, Stinnett and Fox
voted NO. Motion was Not carried.
Bids were opened for the pipe to be installed to Lake Shore Gardens.
Comm. Stinnett and Sam Oliver were to compare the bids and
accept the ones of their choice.
Our attorney,-Mike Hamlin, was to write the developers of Lake
Shore Gardens and ask for another $15,000.00 advance on the water
main to be installed for them.
Comm. STinnett made a motion to go ahead and mail out the personnal
property taxes. Comm. Miller seconded the motion. Comm. Stinnett,
Miller, Whitehead(" and Farmer voted YES. No NO'S. Carried "
unanimously.
Comm. Stinnett made a motion to contact Florida Power about
moving the light from the corner of Lakewood Avenue & Columbus
to the m1ddle of the block. Comm. Whitehead seconded the motion.
Comm. ST;i.nnett, Whitehead,- Miller and Farmer voted YES. NO NO'S.
Carried unanimously.
A bid of $40.00 was submitted to the Comm. from J. Z. Anderson,
Janitor Service for cleaning the dispatchers office. Comm.
Stinnett made a motion to table this until we see if someone
local can be obtained for the job. Comm. \Vhitehead seconded the
motion. Comm. Stinnett, Whitehead, Miller and Farmer voted YES.
No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Comm. Miller made a motion to raise out City Judge to $100.00
per month. Comm. Farmer seconded the motion. Comm. Miller,
Farmer, Stinnett and Whitehead voted YES. No NO'S. Carried
unanimously.

Our attorney asked what the Commissioners wanted him to do in
regard to the suit filed against the annexation of Hillcrest
Heights and Sunny Slopes. Comm. Stinnett made a motion to
accept the Council of our Attorney, Michal.Hamlin, on the matter.
Comm. Miller seconded the motion. Comm. Stinnett, Miller, Farmer,
and Whitehead voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
There being no further business- Comrn. Miller made a motion to ad-
journ this meeting. Comm. Stinnett seconded the motion. Thereuponn
Comm. adjourned at 9:45 P.M.
