MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
DECEMBER 30, 1969

Present:
Mayor Fox; Commissioners: Stinnett, Whitehead, Miller
- & Farmer
Absent: None
The special meeting was called to order by Mayor Fox at 7:00 P.M.
The purpose of the special meeting was to purchase a new police
car and to discuss installing water mains to Lakeshore Gardens.
The bids on the police were as follows:
Al Ewing Ford, Inc.
John Lamb Chevrolet, Inc.
A. P. Clark Motors

Plymouth
Comm. Farmer made a motion to purchase the 1970 Plymouth and trade
in the 1968 Plymouth. Comm. Stinnett seconded the motion. Comm.
Farmer, Stinnett, Miller and Whitehead voted YES. NO NO'S.
Carried unanimously.
Comm. Stinnett stated it would cost $20,000.00 to install water
lines to Lakeshore Gardens. He thought it would be better if
a well were drilled in the subdivision at a cost of approximately
$6,500.00 for the well ~ pump.
Mayor Fox proposed that the City obtain bids for drilling a well
in the submivision.
After discussing the matber further Comm. Stinnett made a motion
to have our City attorney, Michael Hamlin, contact the developers
and inform them that the City cannot pay for the mains to the
subdivision and they will have to furnish the money for the pipe.
Comm. Miller seconded the motion. Comm. Stinnett, Miller, Farmer
and Whitehead voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Comm. Farmer made a motion that the owners of Ocoee Hills would
have to furnish the City a new plat of Ocoee Hills before the
City could furnish them with any water mains. Comm. Whitehead
seconded the motion. Comm. Farmer, Whitehead, Miller and Stinnett
voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unan~mously.
There being no further business Comm. Miller made a motion to ad-
journ this meeting. Comm. Whitehead seconded the motion. There-
upon Council adjourned at 7:55 P.M.
