MINUTES OF THE RECESSED MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD MAY 25, 1970
Present: Mayor Fox, Comm: Stinnett, Farmer, Miller anQ Whitehead
Absent: None
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fox at 6:05 P.M. This
meeting was a continuation of the last regular meeting.
After the commission discussed the bids on the Cable T. V. Comm.
Stinnett made a motion to accept T. M. Comm. providing our
attorney can work out a satisfactor contract with them. Comm.
Miller seconded the motion. Comm. Stinnett, Miller, Farmer,
and Whitehead voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Mrs. Hood appeared before the City Commissioners complaining
about the behavior of her son, James Hood, policeman of Ocoee.
Comm. Stinnett made a motion not to dismiss Patrolman Hood
unless we have more proof than we already have. Comm. Farmer
seconded the motion. Comm. Stinnett, Farmer, and Miller voted
YES. Comm. Whitehead and Mayor Fox voted NO. Motion was carried.
Leroy Turner had bids on a new police car but no decision was made.
Comm. Stinnett made a motion to have the Ford Polx e Car painted
and cleaned up and taken to the auction. Comm. Farmer seconded
the motion. Comm. Stinnett, Farmer, Miller and Whitehead voted
YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
The Commissioners discussed what we were going to do about buying
gas since Mr. Bowness was no longer going to be able to sell to
us. The Clerk was to get bids from all gas companies represented
in Ocoee on a pump and the cost of premium gas ",per gallon.
There being no further business Comm. Whitehead voted to adjourn
this meeting. Comm. Stinnett seconded the motion. Thereupon
Council agjourned at 7:40 P.M.
