MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
AUGUST 4, 1970
Present: Comm. Stinnett, Miller and Whitehead
Absent: Mayor Fox & Comm. Farmer
The meeting was called to order by Comm. Stinnett at 7:00 P.M.
Comm. Whitehead made a motion to dispense with the reading of
minutes. Comm. Miller seconded the motion. Voted and carried.
Comm. Miller made a motion to pay all bills in order. Comm.
Whitehead seconded the motion. Voted and carried.

A letter was read from the Public Works Administrator of Orange
County of Mr. Frank Roper conserning the culverts he had filled
in on Kissimmee Ave.
Frank Turner submitted a finanicial statement on the collections
and disbursements of the rent collected on the Youth Center.
The Clerk was authorized to sign application for telephone lines

to be installed in Lakeshore Gardens.
Comm. Miller made a motion to buy a $25.00 ad on the Ocoee High
School football program. Comm. Whitehead seconded the motion.
Comm. Miller and Whitehead voted YES. No NO'S. Carried
unanimously.
A representative from D. & M. Modular Homes was present asking
for permits to build modular homes in Spring Lake Hills. He was
referred to the Zoning Commission for their approval.
Comm. Miller made a motion to issue a license to Eugene Miller
to rebuild cars on Franklin Street next to Rittens Wrecker Service.
Comm. Whitehead seconded the motion. Comm. Miller and Whitehead
voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Comm. Miller made a motion to have the door repaired on the Youth
Center door and pay for it out of the building fund. Comm.
Whitehead seconded the motion. Comm. Miller and vfuitehead voted
YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
Sarah Richards asked about having her neighbors move the trailers
and parked cars out of their yards, if she has too. She was
informed that it was legal to park a camper trailer in your yard
and the cars were supposed to be moved.
Leroy Turner and the Comm. discussed having the dispatchers
under the Police and Fire Chiefs instead of under a commissioner.
This was tabled until the entire Comm. was present.
Comm. Miller was to have the street repaired in Peach Lake ~~nor
that were torn up by the builders and charge the builders for the
cost.
Comm. vfuitehead made a motion to appoint John Rhodes to the Zoning
Commission. Comm. Miller seconded the motion providing no one else
outside the City is excepted. Comm. ~nutehead and Miller voted YES.
No NO'S. Carried unanimously.
There being nofurthar business Comm. Miller made a motion to adjourn
this meeting. Comm. Whitehead seconded the motion. Thereupon
Council adjourned at 8:05 P.M.
