MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF'OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
DECEMBER 15, 1970

Present: Mayor Fox, Comm. Crawford, Turner, Carter & Whitehead
Absent: None

The meeting,was called to order by Mayor Fox at 7:10 P.M. The
minutes of the last regular meeting held December 1, 1970 and
the special ,meeting held December 10, 1970 were read and approved.
Comm. Whitehead made a motion to pay all bills in order. Comm.
Crawford Seconded the motion. Voted and carried.

~~. William Breeze proposed the corner of Geneva Street and I
Bluford Avenue as the site for City Adminstration buildings.
He stated there was 25 acres of the property for $75,000.00.
Comm. Whitehead made a motion to have engineers check the land
for soil samples to see if suitable for City us. Comm. Carter
seconded the motion. Comm. Whitehead & Carter voted YES.
Comm. Crawford and Turner voted NO. Mayor Fox voted YES to
break the tie. Motion was carried.
Comm. Crawford stated one lot where the Little League Concession
stand is built does not belong to the City. It belongs to~~.
C. C. Remusat. Comm.Whitehead made a motion to investigate
this property to see if it can be purchased. Comm. Crawford
seconded the motion. Comm. Whitehead, Crawford, Turner and
Carter voted YES, No NO'S. Carried unanimously.

Comm. Tunner made a motion to give all City employees including
Police Reserves and Firemen a ~lO.OO check for Christmas. Comm.
Whitehead seconded the motion. Comm. Turner, Whitehead, Crawford
nad Carter voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously.

Comm. Crawford made a motion to rehire the entire Police Depart-
ment. Comm. Whitehead seconded the motion. Comm.~Crawford,
Whitehead; Turner and Carter voted YES. No NO'S. Carried
unanimously.
Comm. Turner made a motion to accept the gas bid from Mr. H. M.
Bowness for 26.4~ per gallon. Comm. Crawford seconded the motion.
Comm. Turner, Crawford, Carter and Whitehead voted YES. No NO'S
Carried unanimously.

Comm. Crawford informed the Commissioners about a dog that had
been molesting the garbage workers. Mrs. Hughes, owner of the
dog, stated the dog had been agitated by the workers. W~.
Carter informed her that her garbage would not be picked up
unless it was set out on the street where they would not have
to go near the dog.
Glenn Thomas surveyed the property in the area of the Broaddus
property in Marion Park. He found no utility easement on the
rear of his property. There was a 15 feet alley between Mr.
Millers building and the Broaddus property. The Clerk was
instructed to send Mr. E. P. Miller a bill for half the cost
of the surveying.
Mr. McQuillan of Florida Telephone Corp. was asked to have an
official of his company to meet with the Commission. He was
to notify us when this can be arranged.
There being no further business Comm. Whitehead made a motion
. to adjourn this meeting. Comm. Crawford seoonded the motion.
Thereupon Comm. adjourned at S:40 P.M.

MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
DECEMBER 17, 1970
Present;
Mayor Fox, Comm. Crawford, Turner, Carter & Whitehead
None
Absent:
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fox at 7:30 A. M.
The purpose of the meeting was to act on plans of addition
to the Ocoee Shopping Center. The Commissioners found the
plans in order.
Comm. Carter made a motion to accept the plans and issue a
building permit. Comm. Crawford seconded the motion. Comm.
Carter, Crawford,Turner and Whitehead voted YES. No NO'S.
Carried unanimously.
There being no further business Comm. Crawford made a mocion
to adjourn this meeting. Comm. Whitehead seconded the motion.
Thereupon Comm. Adjourned at 7:45 A.M.
