Crawford, Turner, Carter & Whitehead Absent: None The meeting was called to order by Mayor. Fox at 7:00 P.M. The minutes of the last regular meeting held January 4, 1972 and the special meeting held January 5, 1972 were read and approved with the exception the attorney did not state he and the attorney for the Telephone Company attorney could work out a solution, on the licenses. M. Zeigler had asked the City to blacktop his driveway where the City had torn it up about 4 years ago. Comm. Crawford stated he had been told it had been replaced at the time it torn up. Mr. Miller who was over.the street department at that time verified this. Mr. C. C. Parks from Parks Bakery asked the wasig/platted street beside his bakery. He there no street there, but is in the County jurisdiction. Comm. if there was informed that and not in our Comm. Frank Turner stated the Lions Club w~ed XN to put un- breakable windows in the Youth Center. Bids were to be ob- tained for the windows and aiso on repairing the air conditioner. James T. Vandergrift submitted a list of fire hydrants that need to be replaced or installed throughout the City. Comm. Whitehead was to check into correcting these hydrants. Mr. Vignetti stated he had not found any City that had a nuisance ordinance pertainarig to animals. Mrs. Vivian Rodgers was pre- sent to learn if such an ordinance had been drawn, in regards to the anim~as in Peach Lake Manor. It was suggested that someone swear out a warrant that these animals are a nuisance. Comm. Turner made a motion on the Mayor's recommendation, to instruct our attorney to draw a general nuisance ordinance that would be stronger than the ones we now have. Comm. Craw- ford seconded the motion. Comm. Crawford, Turner, Carter & Whitehead voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously. Rolland Lee of Watson & Co. - Architects was present in regards to a new administration building. He stated they will meet with City officials andmscuss what we need and quote a price on drawing the plans. They are to be notified when we are ready to begin work. Jack Davis was present to ask;uhat the bicycle path behind the homes on Kimball Drive be repaired. Mayor Fox is to ask the County for help with the clay to fix this path. Jay Carroll of the. Industrial Park was present to report that their engineers are sill working on drainage plans for the Park. First reading of an ordinance annexing certain property into the Municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee and setting a public hearing for February 15, 1972. Comm. Carter made a motion to accept Ordinance #548 an ordinance annexing certain property into the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida, and establishing the zoning classification of such property. Comm. Crawford seconded the motion. Comm. Crawford, Carter, Turner and Whitehead voted YES. No NO'S. Carried unanimously. First reading of an ordinanc~ of the City of Ocoee, amending the zoning ord~nance was read. Comm. Carter brought up that Ray Cook has quit on the police force. He felt that he should be put back to work as an invest- igat~r~and be made captain. Mayor Fox suggested that Mr. Cook should talk over the problem with the Chief and City Manager Chief Turner was to contact him concerning this matter. There being no further business Comm.
