MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY
CO~1MISSION OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
FEBRUARY 23, 1972
Present: Mayor Hubert W. Fox, Comms. John Carter, Frank Turner,
Raymond Crawford, Jr., Lewis Whitehead,
Subject: George Dextor, Realtor representing developers of
future motel on the corner of Maguire Rd. and Highway 50
The special meeting was called to order by Mayor Fox at 5:00 P.M.

George Dextor came before the Board of Commissioners to present
plans for a 172 Unit Motel on the corner of Maguire and Highway
50. They had begun building without the proper annexation for
receiving city water.
His plans meets all the requirements of our code of building.
He already has a letter of agreement from Florida State of
Health for sewerage plans. Orange county~would be responsible
for inspection since his permits are issued from the county.
Mayor Fox informed him that developers would have to pay any
engineer fees required, water hook-up fees, and comply with c~y
requirements regarding this project. '
Comm. Raymond Crawford said he wanted the letter of intent to
annex to be dated effective today so that processing could begin
on annexation now and not after the building is completed.
Mr. Dexter asked about the liquors' law in the City of Ocoee. Comm.
Frank Turner informed him of our new laws concerning the sale
of liquor on Sundays.
Comm. Frank Turner made motion to accept the letter of intent of
annexation effective February 23, 1972. Seconded by Comm. Lewis
Whitehead. Comm. Crawford, Carter, Turner, Whitehead, voted YES.
NQ NO's.
There being no further business Comm. Raymond Crawford, Jr. made
motion to adjourn this meeting. Comm. Frank Turner seconded the
motion. Thereupon Comm. meeting adjourned at 5:27 P.M.
