Frank Turner, Raymond Crawford, Lewis Whitehead, John Carter, ABSENT: None The meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor Hubert Fox at 7:05 P.M. The minutes of the last regular meeting held February 15, 1972 and the special meeting of February 23, were read and Mayor Fox corrected an error in the February 15 minutes, stating that the motion on the Tri-City Airport was carried with his vote since the commissioners were not unan- imous. Comm. John Carter made a motion to accept the minutes and Comm. Lewis Whitehead seconded. Comms. Whitehead, Turner Crawford, and Carter voted YES. Motion Carr~ed. Comm. Raymond Crawford made a motion to table the drainage problem in the West Orange Industrial Park until the City Engineer and Park Engineer could get together for further study. Motion sec- onded by Comm. Frank Turner. Comms. Turner, Crawford, Carter, Whitehead voted YES. Motion carried unanimouly. Comm. Raymond Crawford made a motion to table the Florida Telephone Corp. occupational license discussion until Mr. R. E. McQuillen, District Manager, could get everything down on paper for complete details. Seconded by Comm. Whitehead. Comms. White- head, Turner, Crawford, Carter voted YES. Motion carried unan- imously. ---- . Comm. Raymond Crawford made a motion to give letter of commit- ment to annex property belonging to Katherine Sims with the C-2 zoning upon proper application from the buyers of the property. Seconded by Comm.Frank Turner. Comms. Carter, Turner, Crawford, Whitehead voted YES. Motion carried unanimously. Comm. John Carter made a motion to have an Appreciation Dinner for the Firemen and Policemen, on March IB at the Youth Center. Seconded by Comm. Frank Turner. Comms. Carter, Turner, Crawford, vfuitehead voted YES. Motion carried unanimously. Comm. Raymond Crawford made a motion to have the City pay for the lumber used to build bleachers for Ocoee Little League Field. Seconded by Comm. Frank Turner. Comm~. Turner, Carter, Crawford, ~mitehead voted YES. Motion carried unanimously. Comm. frank Turner made a motion to donate $300.00 to The Ocoee Senior League for their uniforms. Seconded by Comm. John Carter. Comms. Turner, Carter, Crawford, Whitehead voted YES. Comm. Raymond Crawford made a motion to go ahead \rith the purchase of the Maguire Property. Motion seconded by Comm. John Carter. Comms. Carter, Crawford, furner, Whitehead voted YES. Motion carried unanimously. Co~~,~~ Turner made a motion to raise the price of cemetery lots to ~~OD for non-residents and keep the same for residents. Motion seconded bv Comm. John Carter. Comm. Carter, Turner voted YES. Comm. Whit~head, Crawford voted NO. Mayor Fox declined from-- breaking tie. Comm. Whitehead made motion to table this discussion until f~rther ttudy. Seconded by Comm. Crawford. Motion carried by unanlmous vote. Comm. Lewis Whitehead made a motion to table the Ocoee Hills Zoning change request until the next meeting. Seconded by Comm. Crawford. Comms. Turner, Crawford, Whitehead, ~arter voted YES . Motion carried. ---- Comm. Lewis Whitehead made a motion to take up discussion of occupational licenses next Tuesday on recess from this meeting. Seconded by Comm. Crawford. No vote on motion. Comm. Lewis Whitehead made a motion to table ChlorinateD dis- cussion with B & H. Sales until later. Seconded by Comm. John Carter. Comms. Turner, Whitehead, Carter, Crawford voted YES. Motion carried. --- Comm. Carter made a motion to pay all bills in order. Seconded by Comm. Lewis Whitehead. Comms. John Rhodes had first reading on ordinance No~{ to-wit: An ordinance annexing certain property into the municipal boundaries of the city of Ocoee, Florida and establishing the zoning classification of such property.
