MARCH 21, 1972

The meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor Hubert
W. Fox at 7:15 P.M. The minutes of the last regular meeting held
March 7, 1972 were read. Comm. Lewis Whitehead made a motion to accept
minutes as read, Comm. John Carter seconded the motion. Motion carried
by a ~ vote from Comms. Carter, Whitehead, Turner, Crawford.

Comm. Lewis Whitehead made a motion to accept the letter of
request of annexation of Beltz property, and to give them city
water. Motion was seconded by 6omm. Raymond Crawford. Motion
was carried with a YES vote from Comm. Turner, Carter, Cra.ford,
Whiteh~d. ,No,N .'.S~.~tion carried unanimously.

Comm.~aae a mo~~-on-to accept the City Engineer Walter Nurht's
decision about the drainage in the West Orange Industrial Park.
Motion seconded by Comm. Frank Turner. Motion carried with a YES
vote from Comm. Turner, Crawford, Whitehead, Carter. No NO's.
Motion carried unanimously.
Comm. Carter made motion to give a letter to Mr. Duffie for the FHA
stating that the City Commission had approved the re-zoning of Ocoee
Hills from RIAA to RIAl; pending a public hearing April 11, so that
developers could begin building. Motion seconded by Comm. Raymond
Crawford. Motion carried unanimously by a YES vote from Comms.
Turner, Crawford, Whitehead, Carter.
Comm. Lewis Whitehead made ;a motion to accept the petition from the
residents of Lake Prima Vista asking that their street be re-named
to Lake Shore Drive. Motion seconded by Comm. Frank Turner. Motion
carried unanimously by a YES vote from Comms. Whitehead, Turner,
Carter, Crawford. ----
City Attorney John Rhodes gave the final reading on Ordinance No#
551 to-wit: An ordinance annexing certain property into the mUnicipal
boundaries of the City Of Ocoee, Florida, and establishing the zoning I
classification 6f such property. Comm. Lewis Whitehead made a motion
to accept the ordinance of annexation. Motion was seoonded by Comm.
Frank Turner. Motion was carried unanimously by a YES vote from Commi.
Crawford, Turner, Carter, Whitehead. No NO's.

John Rhodes gave the first reading on Ordinance No.#553 to-wit: An
o:dinance annexing certain property into the mUnicipal boundaries of the
C1ty of Ocoee, Florida, and establishing the zoning classification of
such property.
John Rhodes gave first reading on Ordinance No.# 552 to-wit: an
ordin~nce imposin~ a license tax on the privilege of carrying on or
e~gag1ng in certa1n businesses, professions or occupations within the
C1ty of.Ocoee, Florida, specifying the businesses, professions or
occupat1?nS subject to the tax, prescrtbtnSf penalties for conducting
such,bus1nesses, professions or occupations without having first
obta1ned such license or paid such tax and providing methods of enforcing
the requirements of this ordinance.
Comm. Raymond Crawford made a motion to adjourn at 9:18 P.M.
Seconded by Comm. Lewis Whitehead. Motion aarried unanimously.
