MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
APRIL 4, 1972
PRESENT: Mayor Hubert W. Fox, Commx. Lewis Whitehead, Raymond
Crawford, Jr., John Carter, Frank Turner
ABSENT: None
The meeting of the City Commission was" called to order by Mayor
Hubert W. Fox at 7:07 P. M. The minutes of the "last regular meeting
held March 21, 1972 were read. Comm. Raymond Crawford made a
motion to accept minutes as read. Comm. Lewis Whitehead seconded
the$motion. Motion carried by a YES vote from Comms. Carter,
Whitehead, Turner, Crawford. No !Q's. "

Request to buy land on which Tyus Sewerage Plant is located was ~
tabled until further study.
Comm. Lewis Whitehead made a motion to table the Zoning Board
reccommendation to deny re-zoning Petition No. 72-3 (Vaughn
Property) until further study could be made by lawyers. Comm.
Raymond Crawford seconded the motion. Motion carried by a YES
vote from Comms. Carter, Turner, Crawford, Whitehead. No HQ~
Comm. Frank Turner made a motion to purchase a electronic speed
measuring device on a rental-payment basis for the police department.
Comm. Raymond Crawford seconded the motion. Comms. Carter, Turner,
Crawford voted YES. Comm. Whitehead sustained from voting. Majority
carried.

Comm. Raymond Crawford-seconded the motion. Motion carried by
a YES vote from Comms. Carter, Turner, Crawford, Whitehead.

Comm. Frank Turner made a motion to accept the Occupation license
Ordinance No. 552 to-wit:
An ordinance imposing a license tax on the privilege of
carrying on or engaging in certain businesses, professions or
occupations within the city of Ocoee, Florida, specifying
the businesses, professions or occupations subject to the
tax, prescribing penalties for conducting such businesses,
professions or occupations without having first obtained
such license or paid such tax and providing methods of
enforcing the requirements of this ordinance.
with the amendments in the ordinance and an amendment changing the
price of the gun occupational license to $25.00. Motion was seconded
by Comm. John Carter. Majority carried with a YES vote from Comms.
Carter, Crariora:, Turner,. Comm. Whitehead sustained.
Comm. Raymond Crawford made a motion to adjourn there being no
further business. Motion was seconded by Comm. Frank Turner. Meeting
adjourned at 9:30 P. M.
