MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
MAY 16, 1972
PRESENT: Mayor. Hubert W. Fox, Comma. Frank Turner, Lewis White-
. head, Raymond Crawford, Jr., John Carter
ABSENT: . NONE
The meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor
Hubert W.-Fox at 7:00 P. M. The minutes of the last regular meet-
ing held May 2, 1972 were read. Comm. Whitehead made a motion
to accept the minutes as read. Motion was seconded by Comm.
Turner. Motion carried by a YES vote from Comrns. Carter,
Whitehead, Crawford, Turner. ~WO's. .

The City Commission appointed the City Manager to prepare a letter
with official request of $4650.00 for occupational licenses to be
sent to the Florida Telephone Company.

Comm. John Carter made a motion to engage Watson and Co. Architects
to start a study for the architectural plans for the new city hall.
Motion was seconded by Comm. Turner. Motion was carried by a YES
vote from Comms. Turner, Whitehead, Crawford, Carter. No ~s:--
Cornm. Crawford made a motion to sign a resolution requesting tne
Department of Transportation study a plan for the possibility of
having access highways off the the main arterial highways where
tretraffic is heavy. Motion was seconded by Comm. Whitehead.
Motion was carried by a YES vote from Comms. Whitehead, Carter,
Turner, Drawford. No NO's.
Annexation Requests:
Clifford Freeman had a letter requesting annexation of land on
Lake Lotta Tract 2 with Commercial and R-3 Zoning. Public hearing
set for June 6, 1972.
Ordinance No. 554- Public hearing on Z. R. Breeze annexation re-
quest for property on Highway 50 with zoning for C-4. Cornm.
Crawford made a motion to accept the annexation request with C-4
zoning. Motion seconded by Comm. vfuitehead. Motion was carried
with a ~ vote from Comms. Carter, Whitehead, Turner, Crawford.

Ordinance No. 559-Pub1ic hearing on B. L. Adams annexation request
with C-4 Zoning. Comm. Crawford made motion to accept the annex-
ation request with C-4 zoning. Motion was seconded by Cornm. Turner.
Motion was carried with a YES vote from Comms. Carter, Turner, Craw-
ford, Whitehead. No NO's.
Ordinance No. 556-H. R. Beltz public hearing on annexation request
with R-l zoning. Comm. Crawford made motion to accept the annexation
request with R-1 zoning and corrected legal description. Motion
was seconded by Comm. Whitehead. Motion was carried with a YES
vote from Comms. Crawford, Turner, Whitehead, Carter. No NOTS:
Ordinance No. 555-Public hearing on Clifford Freeman's annexation
request of Parcel A and B with R-3 Zoning. Comm. Whitehead made a
motion to accept the Annexation request with R-3 zoning. Motion
was seconded by Comm.Crawford. Motion was carried with a YES vote
from Comms. Carter, Crawford, Turner, Whitehead. No ~s:--
First reading on Ordinance No. 558 to-wit: an ordinance of the City
of Ocoee, Florida, changing the zoning classification of certain
area within the ;municipa1 boundaries.
First reading on ordinance amending the zoning classification and
description of Ordinance No. 551.
Comm. Turner made a motion to amend budget expenditures by
$22,131.00 and increase revenue in cigarette and electricity
tax by $22~ 131.00 to balance budget. Motion was seconded by
Comm. Crawford. Motion was carried by a YES vote from Comms.
Carter, Turner, Crawford, Whitehead. No NO~s.
There being no further business to discuss Comm. Crawford made
a motion to adjourn. Motion was seconded by Comm. Whitehead.
Motion was carried by a ~vote from Comms. Turner, Crawford,
Whitehead, Carter. No~. Meeting adjourned at 9:08 P. M.
