NINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
JUNE 6, 1972
PRESENT:
Mayor Hubert W. Fox, Comms. Frank Turner, Lewis White-
head, Raymond Crawford, Jr., John Carter
ABSENT: -
NONE
The meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor
Hubert W. Fox at 7:03 P.M~ The minutes of the last regular meet-
ing held May 16, 1972 were'read. Comm. Crawford made a motion
to accept the minutes as read. Motion was seconded by Comm.
Whitehead. Motion was carried by a YES vote from Comms. Turner,
Carter, Whitehead, Crawford. No NO's. -
Comm. Whitehead made a motion to pay all bills in order. Motion
was seconded by Comm. Crawford. Motion was carried with a YES
vote from Comms. Carter, Turner, Whitehead, Crawford. No NO~

Comm. Crawf~rd made a motion to sign the contracts with Watson and
Co. Architects with the stipulation that the architects wi~l wait I
for word from our city attorney before any further study is taken
on the property for the city hall. Motion was seconded by Comm.
Frank Turner. Motion was carried with a YES vote from Comms. Turner
Crawford, Whitehead, Carter. No NO's. ----
y~. Myers was given permission to erect a skating rink in the City
of Ocoee for. the summer months.
Letter to City Commission of Ocoee advising council that Ralph Vaughn
was withdrawing petition on re-zoning request.
Comm. Crawford made a motion to convey land purchase (Kent Tyus Sewerage
Plant) by Mr.~90~fu~~ subject~option to buy land back upon condition
that if City of Ocoee purchases land back they will take over the
operation of Sewerage Plant and appropriate city officials will execute
final contract. Comm. Whitehead seconded the motion. Motion was
carried by a.~vote from Comms. Whitehead, Carter, Turner, Crawford.

Ordinance No. 560 final reading, to-wit: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 551 OF SAID CITY, WHICH
PROVIDED FOR_ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY INTO.THE CITY OF OCOEE AND ES-
TABLISHING ITS ZONING CLASSIFICATION. Comm. Crawford made motion
to accept the ordinance. Motion was seconded by Comm. Whitehead.
Motion was carried by a YES vote from Comms. Carter,. Whitehead,
Turner, Crawford. No NOrs-.
Final reading on Ordinance No. 558 to-wit: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY
OF OCOEE, FLQRIDA, CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION O~ CERTAIN
AREA WITHIN THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES. Comm. Crawford made motion

Final reading and public hearing on Ordinance No. 557, to-wit:
AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY INTO THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES
OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, AND ESTABLISHING THE ZONING CLASS
IFICATION OF SUCH PROPERTY. Comm. Crawford made a motion to -
accept the ordinance. Motion was seconded by Comm. Turner. Motion
was carried with a YES vote from Comms. Carter, Turner, Crawford,
Whitehead. No NO's:--
Comm. Crawford made a motion to adjourn there being no further
business to be brought before the City Commission. Motion was
seconded by Corom.,Turner. Motion carried by a YES vote from
Coroms. Turner, Crawford, Carter, Whitehead. No No's. Meeting
adjourned at 9:00 P. M.

Amendment to the minutes: Wayne Baker came before the board
about the drainage problem in Lakewood Hills Subdivision on
Starke ~ake Circle. Mayor Fox informed Mr. Baker that the
money situation for this year made it difficult to work on
it until the new budget is set up and then they would work
on relieving the problem. The City Commission was to study
the drainage problem.

Dear Mayor Fox,
. I have been authorized by Mr. C. E. Locke, Vice President
of Operations, through our negotiations, to offer you the
following in compliance with your letter of May 22, 1972:

I. Upon acceptance and signature, by the Ocoee City
Commission, of the 1% 1icenseing agreement, the
Florida Telephone Corporation agrees to the following.
II. The Florida Telephone Corporation will pay to the
City of Ocoee, in accordance with the past ordinances
these 1icenseing fees.
(a) From 1935 through 1961 (26 years) at the
rate of $25.00 per year, for a total of
$650.00.
(b) From 1962 through 1972 (10 years) at the
rate of $400.00 per year, for a total of
$4,000.00.
(c) For a grand total of $4,650.00.
(d) That from this total $200.00 be subtracted
for the period of July 1, 1972 through
December 31, 1972 and that the 1% licenseing
agreement begin July 1, 1972.
Trusting the above is unanimously approved by all the
members of the Commission.
