Carter, Turner, .Whitehead ABSENT: Comm. Raymond Crawford The meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor Fox at 7:00 P.M. The minutes of the last regular meeting held July 6, .1972 were read. Mayor Fox asked that the minutes be amended _to reflect that Comm. -. Carter_c made the motion to purchase Wi11iam~Poole Property. Comm. Whitehead made a motion to accept the amended minutes. Motion was seconded .by Comm. Turner. Frank Richardson-Chicago Bridge and Iron Co. came before the City Commission to discuss feasibility of a future water tank for the City of Ocoee. Richard Amick came before City Commission requesting approval of the original site for their sewerage plant of Twin Lakes Manor. Mayor Fox told Mr. Amick that there were several protestors at the last meeting regarding polluting Lake Moxie as a result of the sewerage plant in that area. Mr. Amick and Walter Kuhrt discuseed several aspects of the sewerage plant with the City Commission. The City 60mmission suggested that Mr. Amick check with Mr. Goodman to ne- gotiate possible plans of combining the two plants(TyusP1ant)(Twin Lakes Plant). Richard Amick told the board that he would research it and report back with his infoDmation. There was a recommendation from the Planing and Zoning Board to annex and rezone property of Orange Properties,Inc. to R-1A. Comm. Carter made a motion to accept the recommendation from the Planning and ioning Board and to draw up an ordinance to reflect chang~. Motion seconded by Comm. Turner. M~tion was carried by a !!2 vote from Comms. Carter, Turner, Whitehead. No NO's. }I'.'~ 'T"!=l,:~ Flr;t Reading on Ordinance No. 563 to-wit: AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY IN TO THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF OCOEE FLORIDA, AND ESTABLISHING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF SUCH PROPERTY,. Public hearing set for August 1. . First reading on Ordinance No. 564 to-wit.: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA KSTABLISHING THE FEES FOR CONNECTION TO THE MUNICIPAL WlTER SYSTEM. . Comm. T~ner made a motion to accept the Windermere Fire Contract of $4200. the first year and $6000 the second year. Comm. Whitehead seconded the motion. Motion was carried with~~ ~ vote from Comms. Carter, Turner, Whitehead. No NO's. ' - Mayor Fox signed proclamation for Clown week. City Co~ssion asked the City Manager to get information on fixing up sign qn Highway 50. There was a letter of recommendation from the Planning-and Zoning Board to:do something about the junk car lots in the City of Ocoee. There be~ng no further business to discuss, Comm.
