Frank Turner, Lewis Whitehead, Raymond Crawford, Jr., John W. Carter ABSENT: NONE The meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Y~yor Fox at 7:00 P.M.. The minutes of the last regular meeting held July 18, 1972 were read. Comm. Turner made a motion to accept _ the minutes as read. Comm. Crawford seconded the motion. Motion was carried with a ~ vote from Comms. Carter, Crawford, Turner, Whitehead. No N~s. Comm. Crawford made a motion to pay all bills in order.~tion seconded by Comm. Turner. Ungaro-lifeguard 74.32 Bank Of West Orange-with-ho1ding tax 1,778.30 Walter Kuhrt-representing Twin Lake Manor developers came before the Commission with further information concerning the sewerage plant proposal. They were requesting permission to put sewerage plant on original site across Wurst Rd. They suggested moving the park site from Lake Moxie ~and Peach Lake to Sewerage Plant site to make one large Park. Comm. Frank Turner made a motion to accept the pre- liminary plans for the sewerage plant site and to move the park site from the Southwest Corner of Twin Lake Manor development to the adjoining land to Lake Moxie City Park; also move the Peach Lake park site to the area across Wurst Rd. for one large park. Motion was seconded by Comm. Crawford. Motion was carried with a ~ vote fnom Comms. Crawford, Turner, Carter. Comm. Whitehead voted ~ There was a recommendation from zoning board to change Spradley property from R-1AAA to RIAA. Comm. Carter made a motion to change zoning recommended by zoning board and draw up an oriinance to reflect same. Motion seconded by Comm. Crawford. Mooion was carried by a ~ vote from Comms. Turner, Crawf.ord, Carter, Whitehead. No liQ's. Comm. Crawford made a motion to accept the plans and plat presented by Jack Spra41ey. Motion was seconded by Comm. Carter. Motion was carried by a ~ vote from Comms. Carter, Turner, Crawford, White-- head. No NO's. I I Mr. Hartzog of Hartzog and Vick Realtors came before the Commission asking for annexation and re-zoning for Innkeepers Inc. property. Re-zoning to be C-4. Public hearing set for August 15. Comm. Whitehead made a motion to have City manager Joh~, L. Vignetti, to send letters requesting permission to cross Hwy. 50 with water lines for the. motel. Motion was seconded by Comm. Crawford. Motion was carried by a YES vote from Comms. Carter, Turnef, Crawford, White- head. No NO's . Public hearing set on Ordinance No. 565(Orange Properties, INc.) for August 15. Final Reading and public bearing on Ordinance No. 563, to-wit:AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY INTO THE MUNCIPAL BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, AND ESTABLISHING THE ZONING CLASS_ IFICATION OF SUCH PROPERTY. Comm. Crawfor.d made. a motion to accept the ordinance. Motion was seconded by.' Comm. Turner. Motion was carried with a YES vote from Comms. Turner, Crawford, Carter, Whitehead..No No's :--- Final reading 9n Ordinance No. 564 to-wit: AN ORDIIANCE.OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA ESTABLISHING THE FEES FOR CONNECTION TO THE MUNICIPAL WATER SYSTEM. Comm. Crawford made a motion to accept I the ordinance. . Motion was seconded by Comm. Turner. Motion carried with a YES vote from Comms. Turner, Carter, Crawford. Comm. Whitehead voted~. .- City Commission asked that the CATV representative come bo Council Meeting to request re-newal of bonds. Mothers with children taking swimming lessons on Starke Lake came~ before City Commission requesting that something be done about the snakes around the dock. Mayor Fox told the mothers that something would be done to clear the area of grass and breeding places for the snakes. John Rhodes said that he would look into the legal aspects of putting a time limit on land-owners annexing into city about developing the land. Mr. Vignetti was asked by the City Commission to receive 3 more bids on air-conditioning the Youth Center. Comm. Whitehead made a motion to check into likely land purchases by the City of Ocoee. Motion was seconded by, Comm. Crawford. Motion carried with a ~ vote from Comms. Whitehead, Carter, Turner, ~raw- ford. No NO's. - I John Rhodes was asked to draw up an ordinance re-zoning Keith Johns property. There being no further business to be brough~ before the City Commission, Comm. Crawford made a motion to adjourn. Motion was seconded by Comm. Turner. Motion was carried with a YES vote from Comms. Carter, Whitehead, Turner, Crawford. Meeting Adj'O'Urned at 9:40 P.M..
