MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA HELD
NOVEMBER 7, 1972
PRESENT:
MAYOR HUBERT W. FOX J. COMMS. RAYMOND CRAWFORD, JR, 'LEWIS
WHITEHEAD, JOHN W. GARTER, FRANK TURNER -
ABSENT: NONE
The meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor
Fox at 7:00 P.M. The minutes of the last regular meeting held
October 17, 1972 and the special meeting held October 31, 1972
were read. Comm. 'Crawford asked that the minutes of the 'regular
meeting be amended to reflect that he abstained from votimg on
the motion about 'the dormatory in the West Orange Industrial Park.
Attorney John Rhodes stated that minutes, of the special meeting
should be amended 'to reflect his legal opinion on the matter of
the petition on the Vaughn Property. Both minutes were corrected
to reflect the amendments. Comm. Crawford made a motion to accept
the minutes as corrected. Motion was seconded by Comm. Whitehead
and carried with a YES vote from Comms. Carter, Whitehead, Turner,
Crawford. No NO's :---

Cmmm. Crawford made ~ motion to accept and sign the. resolution
tcf have Farm-Ci'ty'Week November 17 through November 23. The
motion was seconded by Comm. Whitehead and carrried with a YES
vote from Comms. Carter, Whitehead, Crawford, Turner. No NO's.
Comm. Crawford made a motion to accept the Police Standard
resolution stating the eity of Ocoee was meeting the Police
Standard Council's requirements. The motion was seconded by
Comm. Carter and carried with a YES vote from Comms. Carter,
Whitehead, Crawford, Turner. No-NTI's.
Ocoee Hills Development carne before the Commission asking
approval of their final plans. For each permit (building)
they will give the City of Ocoee $50.00 toward the recreational
program. Comm. Crawford made a motion to accept the final
plans. The motion was seconded by Comm. Carter and carried
with a YES vote from Corr~s. Carter, Whitehead, Turner, Crawford,
No NO's.
Comm. Crawford made a motion to accept Mrs. Clarice Wicker's
plans for a motel development on her property on Ocoee-Apopka
RQ. Motion was seconded by Comm. Turner and carried with a
YES vote from Comms. Carter, Turner, Whitehead, Crawford.
No NO's.
There was a second and final reading on Ordinance No. 577, to-wit:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, CHANGING THE ZONING
CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN AREA WITHIN THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES.
SPRADLEY PROPERTY. Comm. Carter made a motion to accept the
ordinance. Motion was seconded by Comm. Turner and carried with
a YES vote from Comms. Carter, Turner, Crawford, Whitehead.
No NO's.
The zoning board reccommended the annexing and re-zoning of the
Murray Estates with a zoning of C-4 for motel. Comm. Carter
made a motion to accept the zoning board reccommendation and
draw up an ordinance to reflect the change. Motion was seconded
by Comm. Crawford and carried with a YES vote. No NO's.
Chicago-Iron and Bridge Works gave the City of Ocoee an extension
to November 21, 1972 to decide on the issue of the water tank.
There being no further business to be brought before the' City
Commission, Comm". Crawford made a motion. to adjourn.' Motion
was seconded by ~omm. Whitehead and carried with a ~ig- vote
from Comms. Cart~r, Whitehead, f@rner, Crawford.. Meeting
adjourned at 7:39 P.M.
