DAVID HllRPER, ROBERT LYLE CARMON HAMBY, FRANK TURNER ABSENT: NONE The meeting of the City Commission was called to order by Mayor Fox at 7:00 P.M. The minutes of the last regular meeting held December 19, 1972 were read. Comm. Turner made a motion to accept the minutes as read. The motion. was seconded by Comm. Hamby and carried with a YES vote from Comms. Hamby, Turner, Harper, Lyle. No NO's. Mayor Fox requested the Commissioners read the minutes of the last Planning and Zoning Board meeting. (First Mortgage Co.)- zoning to be R-3, R1AA, RIAAA. Public hearing to be at second reading. Mr. Haire-representative from Architects Watson and Co. came before the Commission to answer any questions that they might have on the study for the new City Municipality facilities.Comm. Turner made a motion to give the architects the authority to go ahead with the study on the land and its possiblities.The motion was seconded by Comm. Hamby and carried with a ~ vote from Comms. Hamby, Harper, Lyle, Turner. No NO's. Ivrr. Vignetti gave a progress report on several items ,to-wit: 1. Trucks sold-$400.00 2. Police and Fire Department will participate in Boat Regatta 3. $100,000.00 in Certificate ol ~eposits~Dec. 22 4. Budget Amended~630,649.00 ~ ~~~~ \ 5. Ivrr. Wagner-informal meeting ~ 6. Water Tank Lights-cost for repair-$300.00 7. Traffic Court moved to YoUh Center 8. Need of City Prosecutor-January 1, 1973- Mayor Fox asked I Mr. Vignetti to check into prospects 9. Bonus $10.00 Christmas given to Volunteer Firemen 10. Started on soil engineering for water tank project-roughly $3200.00 Ivrr. Tom Ison came before the Commission asking for a donation for the Central Florida Fair Exhibit for the Lion!s C~mb, and need of glossy pictures of the Commissioners and Mayor.. Comm. Lyle made a motion to give the ,Lion's Clab a check for $200.00. The motion aas seco~ded by Comm. Turner and carried with a YES vote from Comms. Turner, Lyle, Harper, Hamby. No NO's. ~tr. Vignetti told the Commission that there would be a meeting for the Senior League Baseball League January 8, 1973. Tri-City Airport meeting will be January 4, 1973 in the Ocoee City Hall. Comm. Lyle asked the. city manager to get all the facts concerning the price for a tennis court and more lighting system for the Lake Moxie park. Mayor Fox informed the Commission that the Police Force had a full staff at this time. Comm. Hamby made a motion to help with sidewalk repair adjacent to I Ocoee High School Ball Field and pay $400.00 toward their $900.00 sprinkling system. After discussion, eomm. Hamby asked that the - motion be struck from the record and made a new motion to repair the sidewalk and have a brick mason lay bricks on the wall by the field. The motion was seconded by Comm. Harper and carried with a YES vote from Comms. Harper, Lyle, Hamby, Turner. No NO's. --- Comm. Harper suggested that Comm. Hamby be appointed to attend the School Board Meetings. I Mr. Amick came before the Commission with a letter from the Charter Land and Housing saying they would underwrite the sewerage treatment plant, and asked for the signing of the plat on FoxFire. Mr. Amick also asked for a letter of intent from the City Commission to the FHA stating that they will accept the ownership and maintenance of the sewerage plant if IVIr. Amick and the Charter Housing Co. falls down on the project of Twin Lake and Foxfire. Corom. Harper made a motion to have the letter drafted. The motion was seconded by Corom. Lyle and carried with a YES vote from Comms. Harper, Lyle, Hamby, Turner. No NO's. There being no further business to be brought before the Commission Comm. Turner made a motion to adjourn.
