Present: mayor Fox: Commissioners, Lyle, Hamby & Turner. Absent: C omm. Harper The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fox at 7:05 p.m. The minutes of the last meeting were read. Comm. Lyle made the motion to accept the minutes as read. Comm. Hamby seconded the motion. No nays. 1. Mr. Vignetti read a letter from the county stating thatuthe City of Ocoee could annex Ocoee Hills Rd. mr. ignetti gave the first reading of the Ordinance for annexation. 2. Comm. Lyle made the motion to accept the Fire Contract with the City of Windermere. gomm. Hamby seconded the motion. No nays. 3-5. The Copper Wire Amendment, Building Code Violation, and the R-3 multiple Family District Requirement Change will come before the council for action at the next regular meeting. 6. Mr. Vignetti read the resolution stating that March is Red Cross Month. ) 7. Mr. Traywick came to explain his complaint about the water bills. The Council authorized the clerk to write a voucher for the remainder of Mr. Traywick~s water bill since there had been a mistake made in the billing. 8. Mr. Pitt Varnes complained to the City Manager about property damage due to a new subdivision. The Council said that Mr. Varnes should go to the County since he lives in the County. 9. Comm. Lyle made the motion to accept Khurt & Associates' Sewerage Study' Contract. Comm. Turner seconded the motion. No nays. The motion was carried. 10. Annexation Discussion- Appeal or Forget: Discussion held and Comm. Hamby made the motion to table the dis- cussion until the next regular meeting. Comm. Turner seconded the motion. That the Clty was now paYlng employees ~~u every two weeks instead of weekly. He brought up the problem of trash pick-up. It was decided that trash pick- up would be limited to 3-30 gallon drums. He told the Council that the new sign for the city was coming along fine. Mr. Vignetti said there had been several people from Sleepy Harbor asking about the sewage bills they were supposed to be getting. He recommended that they get Mr. Tyus in for the next regular meeting to explain this subject. Mr. Minard presented the Council with the Presiden~s Trophy from the Florida State Fair, because of the City's donation to it. It will be turned back Jan. 1,1974. Comm. Lyle apologized to the City of Winter Garden for not going to the meeting because of a heavy schedule. He asked that a letter be sent to the Winter Garden City Council stating this and that the Ocoee City Council would like to meet with them again. Mr. Vignetti was asked to draw up a contract for the ball field. I Doug Everd came before the council discussing the pension plan he had worked up for the city. Discussions were held. Comm. Lyle made the motion to enter the pension plan with Prudential where the city pays 3% with a 10 year vested right and the employee must be with the city for 6 months to start in the new plan. Any changes and additions will take place on April 1 of every year. The retirement will be at age 65 and the city will be able to hold anyone,',s deposi t for 1 year as insurance against short term employment. Comm. Turner seconded the motion. No Nays. Comm.
