HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-09-1973 SS I I I I MINUTES OF THE SPECXAL JOINT MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL AND ZO~I~G BOARD HELD APRIL 9, 1973 PRESENT: All members on the City Commission ABSENT: Mr. Bowness, Mr. Stovall The meeting was called to order by Mayor Fox at 7:07 P. M. Mr. Dexter came before the board and briefed on details of annexation and zoning of the eighty-acre sight located east of Woffard Road and south of Story Road. Mr. Dexter requested sixty acres of this track to be zoned multi-family and office parks zoning with R-3 zoning. The multi-family portion shall be zoned with a density of 20 units Der acre. Five acres of this track, the location of which would be determined at a later date would be dedicated to the City of Ocoee. The remaining 20 acres fronting on State Road 50 to a depth of 675 feet would be zoned C-3, commercial zoning and further reserving the S. W. 250 foot square to be zoned as a C~4, commercial gas station. Mayor Fox adjourned joint meeting to permit the Zoning Board to take action on this request and make recommendations to the City Commission. Mr. Wurst called Zoning Board meeting to order at 7:40 P. M. Mr. McRoberts made a motion to recommend annexation and zoning of the eighty-acre track as requested by Mr. Dexter. Mr. Brooklyn seconded the motion. No nays. mayor Fox reconvened the meeting of the City Commission. The City Council agreed on the Zoning Board's decision. Following a brief discussion by Commissioner members of the Zoning Board's recommendations, Comm. Lyle made the motion to accept the Zoning Board's recommendations., Motion seconded by Comm. Harper. No nays. Motion carried at this point. City Manager, John Vignetti read the ordinance, zoning and annexing the eithty-acre track into the City of Ocoee. Comm. Harper made the motion to adjourn the meeting. Comm. Lyle seconded the motion. Meeting was adjourned at 8:15 P. M. by Mayor Fox. Meeting adjourned. ATTEST:
