MINUTES OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE CITY OF OCOEE HELD MARCH 11, 1975
PRESENT: MAYOR VANDERGRIFT, COMM: LYLE, CRAWFORD, STINNETT AND WHITEHEAD
ABSENT: NONE

Meeting of the Public Hearing was called to order at 7:30 p.m. for the
persons involved in the annexation of their property into the City to let
council know their feelings about said annexation. After much discussion
from the audience and the council the following persons do not wish to be
annex: Euell Creech, Vivian Davis and Eugene Fleming. Comm. Crawford suggested
that those persons not annexing should be refunded the amount that they had
paid for the water meter. The Following persons cannot legally annex: Roy
Godbold, Douglas Caudill,Leon Johnson,Carl Holloway,E.O.Harper,Fred Lambert,
Shop & GO,Church of God. Mr. Queen came before council stating that if his
property could remain zoned agricultural he would be willing to annex. The
following persons have submitted letters requesting annexation: J.L.Barron,
M.S.Curry, W.L.Birdyshaw,E.L.Simmons,F.Rochell,William Rochell,Fannie Barker,
and Royce Harrison. The following persons were not present:Paul Hopper, Robert
Vereen,Charles Sackett,Ronald Hayhurst,William DeBarre,C.R.Daughtry and Wade
Rich. The City Manager is to contact the aforementioned persons.
After much discussion it was decided that council would adjourn and turn
the zoning of properties to be annex over to the Zoning Board for recommen-
dation to council.
Meeting adjourned at 8:10 p.m.
