MINUTES OF THE CITY COMMISSION MEETING OF THE CITY OF OCOEE HELD 20 DECEMBER 77
Mayor Breeze called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. and the meeting was
opened with prayer by Reverend Hewett, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance
to the Flag. Present were Comm. Lyle, Crawford and Whitehead; City Manager,
Vignetti; City Attorney, Rhodes; and City Clerk, Gann. Comm. Stinnett was
absent.
6 DECEMBER 77 COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES
Mayor stated that on page one, paragraph four the word "undeveloped" should
be corrected to "remaining". Comm. Crawford moved to accept minutes as
corrected, seconded Comm. Whitehead. Unanimous.

Zoning Board Meeting Minutes of 13th and 14th December 77 were read into
the record for information only.
1ST READING-ORDINANCE-ZONING CHANGE R1A TO Rl-SOUTH SPRINGDALE SUB-DIVISION
Comm. Lyle moved to read ordinance by title only, seconded Comm. Crawford.
Unanimous. City Manager read title only of the ordinance. Second and final
reading and Public Hearing of this ordinance will be held on 3 January 78.
1ST READING - GARAGE SALES ORDINANCE
City Manager read ordinance in its entirety. Second and final reading and
public hearing of this ordinance will be held on 17 January 78.
BOARD OF EQUALIZATION - APRICOT STREET PAVING ASSESSI1ENT
City Councilmen abandoned their positions and assumed the position as a
Board of Equalization to hear comments and complaints .for a paving assessment
on Apricot Street. City Attorney read the paving assessment Resolution.
There were no comments or complaints. Comm. Whitehead moved to approve and
implement the Resolution, seconded Comm. Crawford. Unanimous. Commissioners
reassumed their positions as City Councilmen.
CITY ~~NAGER/~~YOR/COMMISSION REPORTS AND INFORMATION
City Manager explained that the city would no longer have to pay for the
maintenance of traffic devices.
Comm. Lyle moved to place an ad with the Dept. of Community Affairs for
$15.00, seconded Comm. Whitehead. Unanimous.
City Manager stated City Hall would be closed on December 23, 26 & 30, 1977
and 2 January 78, but sanitation schedule would not change.
Corom. Lyle requested that the City Manager study the salary of the Water
Dept. Supervisor and make recommendation to council.
Mayor suggested that the intersection of Bluford Ave. and Mckey Street be
made a four-way-stop instead of the present three-way-stop. It was agreed
that the City Manager would contact the Dept. of Transportation about the
possibility of obtaining a traffic light for this intersection.
The Mayor and City Manager attended the county public hearing on rezoning
as requested by council and reported that the rezoning petition was denied.
Council agreed that all regular city employees be given $10.00 for Christmas.
