HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 530 ~ tiS' .9z, AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN ADDITIONAL LANDS TO THE CITY OF OCOEE. FLORIDA. AND RE-DEFINING THE CITY BOUNDARIES TO GIVE THE CITY JURISDICTION OVER SAID PROPERTY. WHEREAS. it has become desirous and a necessity for the City of Ocoee. Florida. to extend the City Limits of the City of Ocoee. Florida. pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 171. Laws of Florida. 1961. and the . Charter of the City of Ocoee by placing certain additional property within the municipal limits. provided the State of Florida Department of Transportation approves and confirms this Ordinance. giving the City of Ocoee. Florida. jurisdiction over said property. Now. Therefore. BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY OF OCOEE. FLORIDA: Section 1. That the municipal limits of the City of Ocoee. Florida. be amended. re- defined and changed to include the following. to-wit: The existing right- of- way of State Road No. 437 from the North City Limit of Ocoee at North line of Section 7. Township 22 South. Range 28 East. North to the South line of the Northeast quarter (NEt) of the North- east quarter (NEt) of Section 31. Township 21 South. Range 28 East. lying within 30 feet. more or less. and perpendicular to the following described line: . Begin at a point on the center line of State Road No. 437 and on the North line of Section 7. Township 22 South. Range 28 East. 769.10 feet North 89023'00" West from the North quarter (Nt) corner of Section 7. Township 22 South. That the City of Ocoee. Florida. shall have all of the power. authority. and jurisdiction over and within the lands described in Section 1 hereof. and of the inhabitants thereof. and the property therein. as it does have over its present corporate limits. and all laws. ordinances and resolutions of said City shall apply and shall have equal force and effect as if all the territory had been a part of said City at the time of the passage of such laws. ordinances and resolutions. Section 3. That the real property. above- described. shall not at any time be liable for. nor taxes. to pay any bond of indebtedness of said City to which said City may now be subject by virtue of said bonded indebted- ness having existed at the time of the passage of this ordinance. Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective immediat ely upon its becoming a law. Section 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here- with are hereby repealed. Section 6. Should any portion of this Ordinance be held invalid. then such portions as are not declared to be invalid shall remain in full force and effect. READ FIRST TIME rrvxv~ . 1971.
