AND RE- DEFINING THE CITY BOUNDARIES TO GIVE THE CITY JURISDICTION OVER SAID PROPERTY. / , / '\/1 WHEREAS. it has become desirous and a necessity for the City of Ocoee. Florida, to extend the City Limits of the City of Ocoee. Fbrida. pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 171. Laws of Florida, 1961, by placing . certain additional property wtthin the municipal limits, provided the County Commissioners in and for Orange County. Florida. approve and confirm this Ordinance, giving the City of Ocoee. Florida, jurisdiction over said :1- property. Now, Therefore. BE IT ENACTED BY THE CITY OF OCOEE. FLORIDA: Section 1. That the municipal limits of the City of Ocoee, Florida. be amended, re-defined and changed to include the following. to-wit: T~ existing right of way of Center Street from the East boundary of the West one-half (W~) of Section 17, Township 22 South, Range 28 East to the East line of said Section. Section 2. That the City of Ocoee. Florida. shall have all of the power, authority, and jurisdiction over and within the lands described in Section 1 hereof. and of the inhabitants frJereof. and property therein, as it does have over its present corporate limits. and all laws, ordinances and resolutions of said City shall apply and shall have equal force and effect as if all the territory had been a part of said City at the time of the passage of such laws. ordinances and resolutions. Section 3. That the real property. above described. shall not at any time be liable for, nor taxed. to pay any bond of indebtedness of said City . to which said City may now be subject by virtue of said bonded indebtedness having existed at the time of the passage of this ordinance. Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its becoming a law. Section 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. ~ Page One . t - Section 6. Should any portion of this Ordinance be held invalid, then such portions as are not declared to be invalid shall remain in full force and effect.
