ORDINANCE NO. ,1-.1 7
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A CURFEW IN THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, AND
PROVIDING FOR THE PENALTIES FOR ANY VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA:
SECTION ONE: There is hereby adopted by the City of Ocoee for
the purpose of prescribing regulations governing and providing for a
curfew in the City of Ocoee, Florida.
SECTION TIiO: This curfew shall apply as follows and shall have the
following exceptions.

1. It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of eighteen
years to appear upon or to loiter, wander or stroll about the
streets, avenues, alleys, parks or other public places of the city
between the hours of 11:00 P.M. and 5:00 A.M. except on Friday and
Saturday when the hours shall be between 12:00 Midnight and 5:00
A.M., unless such person is accompanied and in the custody and
control of his parents, guardian or other responsible adult person.
2. There shall be excepted from the provisions of this ordinance
all call boys and delivery boys or other persons whose duties re-
quire them to be upon the streets during the hours specified in
this ordinance and who are actually on duty at such time and in
the performance of their duties, and all persons within the age
limit, who are engaged in any occupation that requires them to
remain at their places of business after 11:00 P.M. or who are
enroute to their respective homes in the most direct route and
without loitering.
SECTION THREE: The penalties provided for any violation of this
ordinance shall be as follows:
Any person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall be
immediately taken into custody by a police officer and detained
either in his custody or in the city jail, at the discretion of the
police officer, until the parent or guardian shall come Dr send
some responsible adult person to receive such person into custody,
and to conduct him or her to the residence of such parent or
guardian.
SECTION FOUR: Copies of this ordinance shall be posted as pro-
vided for by law and the Charter of the City of Ocoee.
SECTION FIVE: This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its becoming a law.

SECTION SIX: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict
herewith are hereby repealed.
