ORDINANCE NO. .:J- 0 / AN ORDINANCE REGULATING CONDUCT CONSTITUTING THE OFFENSE OF VAGRANCY IN THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, AND PROVIDING FOR THE PENALTIES FOR ANY VIOLATION OF THIS ORDINANCE. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA: SECTION ONE: There is hereby adopted by the City of Ocoee for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing the conduct consti- tuting the offense of vagrancy in the City of Ocoee, Florida. . SECTION TWO: No person in the City of Ocoee shall have the status or condition of a "vagrant". The following persons shall be deemed vagrants. (a) No Lawful Means of Support. Any person having no lawful means of employment and having no lawful means of support real- ized solely from lawful occupations or sources; or, any person who lives idly and without visible means of support. (b) Loitering. Any person in the City of Ocoee found 10iter~ng or strolling in, about, or upon any street, alley, or other pub- lic way or public place, or at any public gathering or assembly, or in or around any store, shop, or business or commercial es- tablishment, or on any private property or place without lawful business and conducting himself in a lewd, wanton or lascivious manner in speech or behavior. SECTION THREE: The penalties provided for any violation of this ordinances shall be as follows: Any person violating any of the prov~s~ons of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined in an amount not exceeding $50.00 for the first offense and $100.00 for the second offense or be imprisoned in the City or County jail for a period not exceeding ten (10) days for the first offense and twenty (20) days for the second offense or be both fined and im- prisoned. SECTION FOUR: Copies of this ordinances shall be posted as pro- vided for by law and the Charter of the City of Ocoee. SECTION FIVE: This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its becoming a law. SECTION SIX: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. .
