HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 488ORDINANCE ]TO. t{ 9 9 AN ORDINANCE ASCERTAINING THE AMOUNT NECESSARY TO OPERATE THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, FOP, THE FISCAL YEAR BEGIIVING NOVE ,1BER 1st, 19682 and ENDING OCTOBER 31st, 1969. I•JHEREAS, the City Tax Assessor has heretofore prepared an assessment roll of the taxable property of the City of Ocoee, and the respective values thereof, and as far as practicable the owners thereof; and vMEREAS, the City assessment roll has been submitted to the City Council; and WHEREAS, notice given to property owners whose property has been increased or corrected as to values; and WHEREAS., a review and equalization of the assessment roll by the City Council has been concluded, now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE: Section 1. That the sum of $ 238,786.20 be, and the same is here- by, ascertained and determined the amount necessary to defray the operating expenses of the City of Ocoee for the ensuing fiscal year and for the payment of interest and retirement of the refunding bonds of the municipal government of the City of Ocoee for the fiscal year beginning November lst, 1968, and ending October 31st, 1969. Section 2. Copies of this ordinance shall be posted as provided for by law and the Charter of the City of Ocoee. Section 3. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor, or upon its otherwise be- coming a law. Section 4. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 5. Should any portion of this ordinance be held invalid, then such portions as are not declared to be invalid shall remain in full force and effect.
