HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 468 'l~ ORDINANCE NO. lif AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA TO ANNEX A CERTAIN TRACT OF UNINCORPORATED IAND LYING CONTIGUOUS TO THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF OCOEE AND SITUATED IN ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO-WIT: BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of the Southwest '*' of the Northeast * of Section 19, Township 22 South, Range 28 East, running thence West along the t Section line the distance of Sixteen Hundred Forty-six and Seven One-Hundredths (1,646.07) feet to a point; thence North parallel with the West right of way line of Kissimmee Avenue the distance of Eight Hundred Thirty (830.) feet; thence East, parallel with the said * Section Line to the West side of Kissimmee Avenue right of way; thence South along Kissimmee Avenue right of way to point of beginning. WHEREAS, the above: described unincorporated land is lying contiguous to the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida, and WHEREAS, said tract of land contains less than ten (10) registered voters, and WHEREAS, the City of Ocoee desires to annex the said land to its present municipal boundaries in accordance with the provisions therefor in Section 67 of the Charter of the City of Ocoeej Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925, now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE: Section 1. The City of Ocoee hereby declares its intent to annex the' following described unincorporated land lying contiguous to the munici- pal boundaries of the City of Ocoee and situated in Orange County, Florida, to its present municipal boundaries, thereby extending its territorial limits to include the said land within said territorial limits and to exercise full power and authority over said land in accordance with the Charter of the City of Ocoee, Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925, and the General Laws of the State of Florida, sad land being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at the Southeast corner of the Southwest t of the Northeast * of Section 19, Township 22 South, Range 28 East, running thence West along the t Section line the distance of Sixteen Hundred Forty-six and Seven One-Hundredths (1,646.07) feet to a point; thence North parallel with the West right of way line of Kissimmee Avenue the distance of Eight Hundred Thirty. (83Q.) feet; thence East, parallel with the said t Section Line to the West side of Kissimmee Avenue right of way; thence South along Kissimmee Avenue right of way to point of beginning. Section 2. The City of Ocoee hereby declares its intent to enact an ' Ordinance at its first regular meeting held after the next ensuing thir.ty (30) days from the effective date of this Ordinance, thereby ordaining that the said land described in Section 1 hereof be annexed to the territorial limits of the City of Ocoee, and ordaining that the territorial limits of the City of Ocoee be extended to include the said land as described herein, and ordaining that from and after the effective date of said Ordinance that the City of Ocoee shall exercise full power and authority over said land in accordance with the Charter of the City of Ocoee, Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925, and the General Laws of the State of Florida. Section 3. Copies of this Ordinance shall be posted as provided for by law and the Charter of the City of Ocoee. Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its becoIlling a law. 'D I f } I :) i,\; Section 5. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 6.
