HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 451 ~.~ ,-' I ORDINANCE NO. y...-)-j AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA, DECLARING IT UNLAWFUL FOR MINORS TO HAVE IN THEIR POSSESSION ALCOHOLIC BEVER- AGES, AND PROHIBITING THE SELLING, GIVING OR SERVING OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES TO MINORS; PROVIDING A PENALTY FOR THE VIOLATION THEREOF. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE: Section 1. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or in the case of a corporation, the officers, agents and employees thereof, to sell, give, serve or permit to be served alcoholic beverages, including wines and beer, to persons under 21 years of age 'or to permit a person under 21 years of age to consume said beverages on the licensed premises. Section 2. It shall be unlawful for any person to misrepresent or mis-state his or her age or the age of any other person for the purpose of inducing any licensee, his agents or employees, to sell, give, serve or deliver any alcoholic beverages to a person under 21 years of age. Section 3. It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of 21 years to have in his or her possession alcoholic beverages. Section 4. Any person violating any provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by the same penalties as provided by the laws of the State of Florida, but in no case shall such penalty exceed a fine of $500.00 and/or imprisonment for not more than sixty (60) days. Section 5. All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict here- with are hereby repealed. Section 6. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor, or upon its otherwise becoming a law.
