HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 421 ~~_., Ord.inance 110. <{ J-I AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING AND ALLOCATING TIE REVENUE OF 'I'm CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING NOVEMBER 1st, 1961, AND ENDING OCTOBER 31st, 1962. WHEREAS, tbe City Council bas heretofore ascertained and determined that a sum of $123,096.25 is necessary to defray the operating ex... pense. and retirements of refunding bonds and interest thereon for the fiscal year beginning November 1st, 1961, and ending October 31st, 1962; and WHEREAS, the City Council oas heretofore fixed the rate of taxation at 20 mills and levied said tax on tbe properties within the cor- porate limits of the City for the fiscal year beginning November 1st, 1961, and ending October 31st, 1962; and WHEREAS, it is anticipated tbat there will be available for use and disbursement revenue and tunds from tbe following 80urces and in the following amounts: . That the sum pf $3,000000 or such portion thereof as may be realized from the collection of anticipated revenue from the Ad Valorem tax be, and the same is hereby, appropriated andallo- cated to the Interest and Sinking Fund of said City for retirement of refunding bonds for the fiscal year beginning November 1st, 1961, and ending October 31st, 1962. Section 2. That the sum of $2,500.00 or such portion thereof as may be realized from the collection of anticipated revenue from the Ad Valorem tax be, and the same is hereby, appropriated and allo- cated to the Interest and Sinking Fund of said City for payment of interest on tne refuoQing bonds for the fiscal year beginning Novem?er 1st, 1961, and ending October 31st, 1962. Section 3. That the sum of $l17,596.25 or sucb portion tbereot as may be realized from the collection of anticipated revenue as above (/'/ ~,~,./.,;.. . "...,.. ..... ... ,~ set fDrth be, and the same is hereby, appropriated and allocated to the general fund of said City for disbursement of the operating ex- penses of said City in conformity to the provisions of the Charter of said City during tne fiscal year beginning November 1st, 1961, and ending October 31st, 1962. Section 4. That the sum realized from tne collection of Cigarette Tax Revenue be, and tbe same is bereby, appropriated and allocated for disbursement in accordanoe with the tenor and effect of Chapter 2l0, Florida Statutes, during the fiscal year beginning November 1st, 1961, and ending October 31st, 1962. Section 5. Copies of this ordinanoe soall be posted as provided for by law and the Cbarter of tb1e City of Ocoee. Section 6. This ordinanoe shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor, or upon its otherwise becom- ing a law. Section 1. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here- with are hereby repealed. Section S. Should any portion of this ordinance be held invalid, then such portion as are not declared to be invalid shall remain in full force and effect.
