QRDINANCE No. '7/ 7
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING
SECTION TWO OF ORDINANCE NUMBER 395 PERTAINING TO DATE OF QUALIFICATION
OF CANDIDATES FOR ELECTION TO OFFICE IN THE CITY GOVERNMENT.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THEJ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE:
Section 10 Tbat Section 2 of Ordinance Number 395 is hereby amended
as follows:
"Section 2. All candidates for election to office
in tbe City Government of tbe City of Oooee sQall
on or before THIRTY (30) DAYS prior to the date of
election in which tbey expect to be a candidate
file written notice with the City Clerk stating
their intention of seeking office and specifying
the office. Should the last day upon wnicb said
registration be made fall on Sunday or other day
upon which the Clerk's office is not open for busi-
ness, then said person must register on the last
regular business day more tman THIRTY (30) DAYS
prior to the date of said eleotwno n
Section 2. This Ordinance sball become effective immediately upon
its passage and approval by the Mayor, or upon its otherwise becom-
ing a law.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
Section 4. Should any portion of this Ordinance be held invalid,
then suco portion as are not declared to be invalid shall remain in
full torce and effecto
