AN ORDIl\IANCE OF THE CITY OF OCODE, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO THE
PARKING OF I.IOUSE TRAILERS DESIGNED OR USED AS A PLACE OF ABOD.E
AND PROVIDING A PENALTY POR VIOLATION.
VVHEREAS, during recent rTlonths more and more trailers designed
for use and used for residential purposes have been indiscriminately
parked on lots within the corporate limits of the City of Ocoee; and
WHEREAS, the trailers so parked have been used generally for
residential purposes; and
V'JHEREAS, the City Council has determined and ascertained that
such indiscriminate parking of such trailers and their use so parked
as places of residence conSi tutes a grave menace 10 the public health,
safety and welfare, now therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OP THE CITY OF OCOEE:
Section 1. No house trailer shall be parked on any lot or parcel
at land within the corporate limits of the City of Ocoee, Florida,
which are designed for use as a place of abode, temporary or perma-
nent, for a period of time in excess of twenty-four hours, except
at a regularly established trailer park.
section 2. House trailer as used herein shall mean trailers designed
for use as a place of abode, by one or more persons, temporarily or
permanently, irrespective of whether such trailers are actually used
for such purposes or not.
Section 3. Trailer Park as used herein shall mean a designated
area approved and licensed by the City of Ocoee for the parking of
house trailers where parking space, sani tary facili ties and electri- '
city is supplied to those who make use of said trailers as a home.
Section 4. Any person, firm or corporation violating any provisions
of this Ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof, be punished by a
fine not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) and/or imprison-
ment not exceeding Sixty Days (60), and each day such violations
shall continue to exist shall constitute a separate offense.
Section 5. All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict here-
with are hereby repealed.
Section 6. Should any portion or this Ordinance be held invalid, then
such portIon as are not declared to be invalid shall remain in full
force and effect.
Section 7. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon
its passage and approval by the Mayor.
