WHEREAS, the City Council has hepetofore ascel,tained and determined that a tax ra.te of 20 mills is necessary to produce a f1.U1d suffid.ent; to defray the operating expenses and paJ7Tl1ent of interest and retir'e- ment of the refunding bonds of' the municipal government of' the City of Ocoee f'or the f'iscal year beginning November 1st, 1959, and ending October 31st, 1960, now theref'oI'e, BE re ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF' THE CITY OF OCOEl!;: Section 1. That a tax ill the amount of' 1.5 mills upon the dollars as- sessed valuation be, ani the s mm is hereb;y-, levied and assessed upon and against all property on the assessment roll of the Cit;y" of Ocoee, Florida, to defray the payment of interest and retirement of' the re- f1)..nding bonds of' the municipal government of the Ci t-y' of Ocoee for the f'iscal year beginning November 1st, 19.59, and ending October' 31st, 1960. Section 2. That a tax in the amount of .5 mills upon the dollar as- sessed valuation be, and the same is hereby, levied and assessed upon aDd agains t all property on the assessment 1'011 of the City of Ocoee, F'lorida, which is not exempt from municipal taxation of the said Cit-y' under and by virtue of the Laws B.nd Constitution of the State of Florida, to defray the operating expenses of the municipal government of the City of Ocoee f'or the fiscal year beginning November 1st, 19.59, aDd ending October 31st, 1960. Section 3. Copies of this ordinance shall be posted as provided for by law and the Charter of the City of Ocoee. Section 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor', or upon its otherwise becom- img a law. Section .5. All ordhmces and parts of ordinances in conflict here- with are hereby repealed. Section 60 Should any portion of this ordinance be held invalid, then such portion as are not declared to be invalid shall remain in full force and effect.
