HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 313 UHlJINANCE No l ~. ~ &/7 <",::;5 I' .:! ,..r..___ I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CI'l'Y OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, Al'JNEXING A CERTAIN 'iRAC'i' OF UNINCORPORATED LAND LYING CONTIGUOUS TO THE MUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES OF TEE CITY OF OCOEE AND SITUATED IN ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO-WIT: si of the NW i of the swt of the wwt or Section 18, TwP. 22, S. R. 28 East WHEREAS, the above desoribed uninoorpor.ated land is lying oontiguous to the munioipal boundaries of the City of Oooee, Florida, and WBEREAS, said traot of land oontains less than ten (10) registered voters, and WHEREAS, said land is susoeptible of reoeiving munioipal benefits of the City of Oooee, and WHEREAS, the City of Oooee did on the19thday of April, 1955, duly adopt an Ordinanoe deolaring its intent to annex the land desoribed hereinabove to its present municipal boundaries in acoordanoe with the provisions therefor in Seotion 67 of the Charter of the City of Oooee, Chapter 10951, Speoial Aots, Florida J~gislature, 1925, and Seotion 171004 Florida statutes, and WHEREAS, said Ordinanoe was duly posted as presoribed by law upon said land nnd in said City of Ocoee for the period prescribed by law, and WEEREAS, no objection to said annexation has been filed in the Circuit Court of Orange County, Florida, now therefore, BE IT ORDAI~mD BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE: Seotion 1. That the munioipal boundaries of the City of Oooee, Florida, be, and they hereby arej extended to include the following desoribed land lying and situated in Orange County, Jlorida, and, that said traot of land be, and it hereby is, annexed to the municipal territory of the City of Oooee, Florida, said land being more particularly described as follows: si of the Nwt of the swt of the Nwi of Section 18, Twp. 22, S. R. 28 East. Seotion 2. That tho City of Oooee shall and will from the effective date of this Ordinanoe exeroise full power and authority over the land described in Seotion 1 hereof, in aooordanoe with the Charter of the City of Oooee, Chapter 10951, Special Aots, Florida Legislature, 1925, and the General Laws of tho State of Florida, as fully and completely as the City of Oooeo now exeroises power, authority and jurisdiotion over other lands within its municipal limits. Section 3. Copies of this Ordinanoe shall be posted as provided for by law and the Charter of the City of Oooeo. Section 4. This Ordinanoe shall beoome offeotivo immediately upon its becoming a law. Section 5. All Ordinanoes and parts of Ordinanoes in oonfliot herewith arc;; hereby repealed. . Seotion 6. Should any portion of this Ordinanoe be held invalid, then suoh portions as are not deolared to bo invalid shall remain in full forco and effect.
