OF UNINCORPORATED LAND LYING C:')NTIC;TJOTJS 'fO THE I'/fUiECIPAL BOTTND,ARIES
OF THE CITY OF' OCOEB AND SITUATED IN ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO-WIT:
Lot 17, West of the Railroad, in Rueben Keglers Subdivision of the
SEt of the NEt of Sec. 18, Twp. 22 South Range 28 East, according
to plat thereof recorded in Plat Book flAil, Page 118, Public Records
of Orange County, Florida
WllBREAS, the above described uninoorpor.uted lund is lying contiguous to
the munioipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida, and
~rlliREAS, suid tract of land contains less than ten (10) registered voters,
and
~1ffiREAS, said land is susoeptible of receiving munioipal benefits of the
City of Oooee, and
WHEREAS, the City of Oooee did on the5th day of April, 1955, duly
adopt ap. Ordinanoe deolar.ing its intent to annex the land described
hereinabove to its present municipal boundaries in aooordance with the
provisions therefor in Section 67 of the Cha.rter of the City of Oooee,
Chapter 10951, Speoial Aots, Florida Legislature, 1925, and Seotion
171.04 Florida statutes, and
VffiEREAS, said Ordinanoe was duly posted as presoribed by law upon said
land and in said City of Ocoeo for the period prescribed by law, and
~~EREAS, ~ objection to said annexation ~x filed in the Circuit
Court of Orange County, Florida, ~ was dismissed on October 1,
1956, now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEEI
Seotion 1. That the municipal boundaries of the City of Oooee, Florida,
be, and they hereby a1:'e" extended to inolude the following described
land lying and situated in Orange County, Floridas and, that said traot
of land be~ and it hereby is, annexed to the municipal territory of tho
City of Opoce, Florida~ said land being more particularly desoribed as
follows: '
Lot 17, West of the Railroad, in Rueben Keglers Subdivision of the
SK~ of the NE~' of Sec. 18, Twp. 22 South Range 28 East, accordJing
to pJat thel'eof recorded in Plat Book "A", Page 118, Public Records
of Orange County, Florida
Seotion 2e That tho City of Oeoee shall and will from the effective
date of this Ordinanoe exercise full p~{er and authority over the land
described in Scotian 1 hereof, in aocordance with the Charter of the
Ci ty of Ocooe,,! Chaptor 1095:l.,9 Special ,Aots" Florida Legislr.ture, 1925,
and the General Laws of tho St(1te of Florida, as fully and completely as
tho City of Ocooe n~{ eXG~cises powo=e a.uthority and jurisdiction over
othor lands within its municipal limits_
Section 3. Copios of. this Ordinanoe shall bo posted as provided for by
law and the Chartor of the CHy of OeoC)o.
Section 4. This Ordinanoe shall become effectivo immediately upon its
boooming a. la.w.
Section 5- All Ordinanoes and pa.rts of Ordinanoes in oonflict herewith
are horeby repealed.
Section 6. Should any portion of this Ordinance be held invalid, then
suoh portions as are not doolared to be invalid shall remain in full
force and effeot.
