':'1o{o _.~"......,..,>< ORDINANCE No. :J ~f AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING AND ALLOCATING THE REVENUE OF TIlli CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING NOVEMBER 1, 1956, AND ENDING OCTOBER 31, 1957. WHEREAS, the City COUl1cil has heretofore ascertained andootermined that a sum of ~~35,950.68 is necessary to defray the operating ex- penses and retirements of refUl1ding bonds and interest thereon for the fiscal year beginning November 1, 1956, and ending October 31, 1957; and WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore fixed the rate of taxation at 20 mills and levied said tax on the properties within the cor- porate limits of the City for the fiscal year beginning November 1, 1956, and ending October 31, 1957; and WHEREAS, it is anticipated that there will be available for use and disbursement revenue and funds from the following sources and in the following amounts: Ad Valorem tax Cigarette tax utility tax Water revenue Fines and Forfeitures Rents Licenses Hiscellaneous Total $12,200.68 6,500.00 4,500.00 8,000.00 3,000000 600.00 800.00 3~0.00 $35,9 0.6C3 and, WllliREAS, the operating expenses, retirement of the City's RefUl1ding Bonds and payment of interest thereon will be as follows: i~ Police Department street Department Clerk Salary Water Department Power and Lights Fire Department Office Expense Legal Expense & Auditing Telephone Service Insurance & Surety Bonds Bond Interest Bond Retirement Total dl' 7 000 00 1P, . That the SIDn of $4,000.00 or such portion thereof as may be realized from the collection of anticipated revenue from the Ad Valorem tax be, and the same is hereby, appropriated and allo- cated to the retirement of refunding bonds for the fiscal year be- ginning Novenwer 1, 1956, and ending October 31, 1957. Section 2. That the sum of ~~2, 766.68 or such portion thereof as may be realized from the collection of anticipated revenue from the Ad Valorem tax be, and the same is hereby, appropriated and allo- cated to the pa~nent of interest on the refunding bonds for the fiscal year begiru1ing November 1, 1956, and ending October 31, 1957. Section 3 . That the Sllin realized from the collection of Cigarette Tax Revenue be, and the same is hereby, appropriated and allocated for disbursement in accordapce with the tenor and effect of Chapter 210, Florida Statutes, 1955, during the fiscal beginning Novernber 1, 1956, and ending October 31, 19570 Section 5. Copies of this ordinance shall be posted as provided for by law and the Charter of the City of Ocoee. Section 6. This ordinance shall become effective imrnediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor, or upon its otherwise becom- ing a lavJ. Section 70 All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict here- with are hereby repealed. Section 8. Should any portion of this ordinance be held invalid, then such portion as are not declared to be invalid shall remain in full force and effect.
