HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 270ORD11TA XE INTO.. /0 AN ORDINANCE DECLARIITG THE INTE�iTION OF THE CITY OF OCOEu, FLGRIDA,,TO A uTEX A CERTAIN TRACT OF UNINCOPaPORA'TED LAID LYING COI;TIGUOUS TO THE NjUNICIPAL BOUJDARIES OF THE CITY OF OCOEE AND SIT(JATED IN ORANGE COUNTY FLORIDA, TO -WIT: Lot 91 Block "B" of Esther Heights, according to plat thereof re- corded in Plat Book "0", Page 95, Public Records of Orange County, Florida. 1,171EREAS, the above described unincorporated land is lying contiguous to the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida, and 1'7BEREAS, said tract of land contains less than ten (10) registered voters, and ?'H:MEAS, the said land is susceptible of receiving municipal benefits of the City of Ccoee, and Tr+Ix?El'`�.�5, the City of Ocoee desires to annex the said land to its present municipal boundaries in accordance with the provisions therefor in Section 67 of the Chester of the City of Ocoee, Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 19250 and Section 17100. Florida Statutes, now therefore, BE IT ORDA11TED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE: Sectin 1. The City of Ocoee hereby declares its intent to annex the following described unincorporated land lying contiguous to the municipal boundaries of the City r;f Ocoee and situated in Orange County, Florida, to its present municipal boundaries, thereby extending its territorial limits to include the said lard within said territorial limits and to exercise full power and authority over said land in accordance with the Charter of the City of Ocoee, Chapter 109510 Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 192.5, and the General Laws of the State of Florida, said land being r«ore particularly described as follows: Lot 9, Block "B" of Esther Heights, according to plat thereof re- corded in Plat Book 11011, Page 95, Public Records of Orange County, Florida. Section 2. The City of Ocoee hereby declares its intent to enact an Ordinance at its first regular meeting held after the next ensuing thirty (30 ) days from the effective date of this Ordinance, thereby ordaining that the said land described in Section 1 hereof be annexed to the territorial limits of the City of Ocoee, and ordaining that the territorial limits of the City of Ocoee be extended to include the said land as described herein, and ordaining that from and after the effective date of said Ordinance that the City of Ocoee shall cNercise full poi^Ter and authority over said land in accordance frith the Charter of the Cit -,r of Ocoee, Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925" and the General Laws of the State of Florida. SECTION 3+ Copies of this Ordinance shall be posted as provided for by law and the Charter of the City of Ocoee. Section • This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its becoming a law. Section 5• All ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 6+ Should any portion of this Ordinance be held invalid, then such portions as aro not declared to be invalid shall remain in full force and effect.
