AN ORDINANCE DECLARIFG TITS INTENTION OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORTDA rT0 ANNEX A
CERTAIN TRACT OF UNINCORPORATED LAM LYING CONTIGUOUS TO THE NjUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES
OF THE CITY OF OCOEE AND SITUATED IN ORANGE COU14TY FLORIDA, TO—VTIT: .
Lot 8 of R. A. Rewist Addition to Ocoee, according to plat thereof
recorded in Plat Book "H", Page 109, Public Records of Orange County,
Florida.
WTIEREAS, the above described unincorporated land is lying contiguous to the
municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida, and
VMREAS, said tract of land contains less than ten (10) registered voters,
and
7T1r,REAS, the said land is susceptible of receiving municipal benefits of
the City of CcOee, and
till EREAS, the City of Ocoee desires to annex the said land to its present
municipal boundaries in accordance with the provisions therefor in Section
67 of the Charter of the City of Ocoee, Chapter 10951, Special Acts? Florida
Legislature, 19250 and Section 171004 Florida Statutes, now therefore,
BE IT ORDAII?ED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE:
Section 1. The City of Ocoee hereby declares its intent to annex the following
described unincorporated land lying contiguous to the municipal boundaries of
the City of Ocoee and situated in Orange County, Florida, to its present
municipal boundaries, thereby extending its territorial limits to include the
said land within said territorial limits and to exercise full power and authority
over said land in accordance with the Charter of the City of Ocoee, Chapter 10951,
Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925s and the General Laws of the State of
Florida, said land being more particularly described as followss
Lot 8 of R. A. Rewis' Addition to Ocoee, according to plat thereof
recorded in Plat Book "H", Page 1099 Public Records of Orange County,
Florida,
Section 2. The City of Ocoee hereby declares its intent to enact an ordinance
at its first regular meeting held after the neat ensuing thirty (30 ) days
the effective date of this Ordinance, thereby ordaining that the said land
described in Section 1 hereof be annexed to the territorial limits of the City
of Ocoee, and ordaining that the territorial limits of the City of Ocoee be
extended to include the said land as described herein, and ordaining that from
and after the effective date of said Ordinance that the City of Ocoee shall
exercise full povier and authority over said land in accordance with the Charter
of the Cite of Ocoee, Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925,
and the General Laws of the State of Florida.
SECTION 3. Copies of this Ordinance shall be posted as provided for by law
and the Charter of the City of OCUee.
Section 14. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its becoming
a law.
Section 5. All ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed.
Soction 6. Should any portion of this Ordinance be held invalid, then such
portions as arc not declared to be invalid shall remain in full force and
effect.
