HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 260ORDIATA.hcE DTO. .Z 6 0 AN ORDIIIANCE DECLARING THE INTE 1T1,0N OF TITS CT7'jr OF OCOEE, FLORIDAJO AMTEX A CERTAIN TRACT OF UNINCORPORATED LAZ LYING CGZ71GUOUS TO THF, NjUNICIPAL BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF OCOEE AND SITUATED IN ORANGE CGUNTY FLORIDA, TO—WIT: Lot 18, West of the Railroad, in Rueben Keglers Subdivision of the SEI of the NEI of Sec. 18, Twp, 22 South Range 28 East, according to plat thereof recorded in Plat Book "A", Page 118, Public Records of Orange Co-unty, Florida. VEMEREAS, the above described unincorporated land is lying contiguous to the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida, and WBEREAS, said tract of land contains less than ten (10) registered voters, and ?SIH -REAS, the said land is susceptible of receiving municipal benefits of the City of Gcoee, and U .TEAS, the City of Ocoee desires to annex the said land to its present municipal boundaries in accordance with the provisions therefor in Section 67 of the Charter of the City of Ocoee, Chapter 10951, Special Acts9 Florida Legislature, 1925s and Section 171904 Florida Statutes, now therefore, BE IT ORDAI11ED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE: Section le The City of Ocoee hereby declares its intent to annex the following described unincorporated land lying contiguous to the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee and situated in Orange County, Florida, to its present municipal boundaries, thereby extending its territorial limits to include the said land within said territorial limits and to exercise full power and authority over said land in accordance with the Charter of the City of Ocoee, Chapter 109510 Special. Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925s and the General Laws of the State of Florida, said land being more particularly described as followss Lot 18, West of the Railroad, in Rueben Keglers Subdivision of the SE4 of the NE4 of Sec. 18, Twp. 22 South Range 28 East, according to plat thereof recorded in Plat Book "A", Page 118, Public Records of Orange Coun.tys Florida. Section 2. The City of Ocoee hereby declares its intent to enact an Ordinance at its first rebular meeting held after the nett ensuing thirty (30 ) days the effective date of this Ordinance, thereby ordaining that the said land described in Section 1 hereof be annexed to the territorial limits of the City of Ocoee, and ordaining that the territorial limits of the City of Ocoee be extended to include the said land as described herein, and ordaining that from and after the effective date of said Ordinance that the City of Ocoee shall exercise full power and authority over said land in accordance with the Charter of the Cite of Ocoee, Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925s and the General Laws of the State of Florida. SECTION 3. Copies of this Ordinance shall be posted as provided for by law and the Charter of the City of Ocoee. Section 1.�. This Crdinance shall become effective immediately upon its becoming a law• Secticn 5. All ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 6. Should any portion of this Ordinance be held invalid, then such portions as are not declared to be invalid shall remain in full force and effect.
