AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF OCOM3 FLORIDA,.TO ANNEX A
CERTAIN TRACT OF UNIIICORPORATED LAND LYING COI TIGUOUS TO THE l4JNSCIPAL BOUNDIRIES
OF THE CITY OF OCOEE AND SITUATED IN ORANGE COUNTY FLORIDA, TOAVTIT: .
Lot 17, West of the Railroad, in Rueben Keglers Subdivision of the SEW
of the NEW of Sec. 180 Twp, 22 South Range 28 East, According to plat -
thereof recorded in Plat Book "A", Page 118, Public Records of Orange
County, Florida.
W11HEREAS, the above described unincorporated land is lying contiguous to the
municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida, and
VTHEREAS, said tract of land contains less than ten (10) registered voters,
and
ViIUMEAS, the said land is susceptible of receiving municipal benefits of
the City of Ccoee, and
1AMEPEAS, the City of Ocoee desires to annex the said land to its present
municipal boundaries in accordance with the provisions therefor in Section
67 of the Charter of the City of Ocoee, Chapter 10951, Special Actso Florida
Legislature, 1925, and Section 17lodZ Florida Statutes, now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE:
Section 1. The City of Ocoee hereby declares its intent to annex the following
described unincorporated land lying contiguous to the municipal boundaries of
the City of Ocoee and situated in Orange County, Florida, to its present
municipal boundaries, thereby extending its territorial limits to include the
said land within said territorial limits and to exorcise full power and authority
over said land in accordance with the Charter of the City of Ocoee, Chapter 109513
Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925 and the General Laws of the State of
Florida, said land being more particularly described as follows:
Lot 17, West of the Railroad, in Rueben Keglers Subdivision of the SEW
of the NEW of See. 18, Twp. 22 South Range 28 East, according to plat -
thereof recorded in Plat Book "A", Page 118, Public Records of Orange
County, Florida.
Section 2. The City of Ocoee hereby declares its intent to enact an Ordnance
at its first rerixlar meeting held after the next ensuing thirty (30 ) days
from
the effective date of this Ordinance, thereby ordaining that the said land
described in Section 1 hereof be annexed to the territorial limits of the City
of Ocoee, and ordaining that the territorial limits of the City of Ocoee be
extended to include the said land as described herein, and ordaining that from
and after the effective date of said Ordinance that the City of Ocoee shall
exercise full power and authority over said land in accordance with the Charter
of the City of Ocoee$ Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925s
and the General Laws of the State of Florida.
SECTION 3. Copies of this Ordinance shall be posted as provided for by law
and the Charter of the City of OCaee.
Section l[. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its becoming
a laws
Section 5• All ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are
hereby repealed•
Section 6. Should any portion of this Ordinance be held invalid, then such
portions as are not declared to be invalid shall remain in full force and
effect.
