AN ORDINANCE OF TEE CITY OF OCOES, FLORIDA, ANNEXING A CERTAIN T. RACT
OF UNINCORPORATED LAND tYING CONTIGUOUS TO THE ~ruNICIPAL BOu~DARIES
OF THE CITY OF OCOEE AND SITUATED IN ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO-WIT:
Lot 45, Block 4 of the Town of Ocoee, according to plat thereof recorded
in Plat Book !fAIf, Pages 100-101, Public Records of Orange County, Florida.
WHEREAS, the above describedunincorporated lAnd is lying contiguous to
the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida, and
WHEREAS, said tract of land contains less than ten (10) registered voters,
and
WHEREAS, said land is susceptible of receiving municipal benefits of the
City of Ocoee, and
WHEREAS, the City of ucoee did on the 7th day of January, 1955, duly
adopt an Ordinance declaring its intent to annex the land described
hereinabove toits present municipal boundaries in accordance with the
provisions therefor in Section 67 of the Charter of the City Df Ocoee,
Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925, and Section
171.04 Florida Statutes, and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance was duly posted as prescribed by law upon said
land and in said City of Ocoee for the period prescribed by law, and
WHEREAS, no objection to said annexation has been filed in the Circuit
Court of Orange County, Florida, now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE:
Section 1. That the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida,
be, and they hereby are, extended to include the following described
land lying and situated in Orange County, Florida, and, that said tract
of land be, and it hereby is, annexed to the municipal territory of the
City of Ocoee, Florida, said land being more particularly described as
follows:
Lot 45, Block 4 of the Town of Ocoee, according to plat thereof recorded
in Plat Book IfAIf, Pages lGO-101, Public Records of Orange County, Flor,idao
Section 2. That the City of Ocoee shall and will from t he effective
date of this Ordinance exercise full power and authority over the land
described in Section 1 hereof, in accordance with the Cmrter of the
City of Ocoee, Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925,
and the General Laws of the State of Florida, as fully and completely as
the City of Ocoee now exercises power, authority and jurisdiction over
othErlands within its municipal limits.
Section 3. Copies of this Ordinance shall be posted as provided for by
law and the Charter of the City of Ocoee.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
becoming a law.
Section 5. All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 6. Should any portion of this Ordinance be held invalid, then
such portion as are not declared to be invalid shall remain in full force
and effect.
Done in open session, at Ocoee, Orange County, Florida, this lOth
day of February, 1955.
