AN ORDINANCE LEVYING A TAX UPON ALL TAXABLE PROPERTY WITHIN T.H&'
CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, FOR THE TAX YEAR BEGINNING NOVDmER 1,
1953, and mDING OCTOBER 31, 1954.
WHEREAS, the City tax assessor has heretofore prepared
an assessment roll of the taxable property" of the City of Ocoee,
Florida, and the respective values thereof, and as far as practi-

cable the owners thereol, and,
WHEREAS, the City assessment roll has been submitted to
the City C01mcil after due and proper notice to the property" owners
whose property" has been increased, or corrected as to the values,
and such other requirements of notice have been met, and
WHEREAS, a review and equalization of the asroll by tne
City Co~cil has been concluded, and
WHEREAS, a millage of 15 mills is necessary to produce a
fund sufficient to defray the actual debt service requirements of the
City of Ocoee, For the tax year beginning November 1, 1953, and
WHEREAS, a millage of 4.9 mills is necessary to produce a

fund sufficient to defray actual operating expenses of the City of
Ocoee, for the tax year beginning November 1, 1953,
. NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY ,THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE:

Section 1. That a tax in the amount of 15 mills upon the
Dollar assessed valuation be, and it hereby is, levied and assessed
upon and ag~inst all property wi thin the corporate li.mi ts of the City
of Ocoee, Florida, including property exempt frcm taxation for other

than debt service; the said 15 mills tax hereby levied is levied in
fUll accordance and compliance with a certain resolution of said
City authorizing the issuance of certain bonds designated general
refunding bonds, ussue of 1945, and the proceeds of such 15 mills
shall be used solely and exclusively for the payment of interest upon
said bonds and the retirement of said bonds in accordan.ce with said
resolution.
Section 2. That a :further tax in the amount of 4.9 mills
upon the dollar assessed valuation is hereby levied and assessed upon

all property within the corporate limits of the City of Ocoee, Florida,
which is not exempt from municipal taxation of the said City under and
by virtue of the Consti tutton of the State of Florida.
Section 3. All ordinances and parts of ordinances in con-
fiict herewith be, ~d they are, to the extent of such confiict, here-

by repealed.
Section 4. This ordinance shall became effective immediately
upon its passage by the City CouncU and approval by the Mayor.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be promulgated by posting
copies of the same in three conspicuous places in the City of Ocoee,
Florida.
Section 6. Should any portion of this ordinance be held
invalid, or unconstitutional, then such portion as is n~t declared
invalid, or unconstitutional, shall remain in run SQioe:and.effect.
