HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 134 ORDINANCE No. 134 AN Q1WI~ANCE DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE CITY OF OCOEE TO ANNEX A CERTAIN TRACT OF UNINCORPORATED LAND LYING CONTIGUOUS TO THE MUNI- CIPAL BOUNDARIES OF TEE CITY OF OCOEE AND SITUATED IN ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA, to-wit: Lot 4, or R. A. Rewis Addition to Ocoee, according to plat thereor recorded in Plat Book "HtI, Page 109, Public Records of Orange County, Florida. 1 i I I . WHEREAS, the above described unincorporated land is lying contiguous to the municipal boundaries or the City of Ocoee, Florida, and WHEREAS, said tract or land contains less than ten (10) registered voters, and WHEREAS, the said land is susceptible of receiving municipal benerits or the City or Ocoee, and WHEREAS, the City of Ocoee desires to annex the said land to its pre- sent municipal boundaries in accordance with the provisions therefor in Section 67 of the Charter or the City or Ocoee, Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925, and Section 171.04 Florida Statutes, now thererore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE: Section 1. The City or Ocoee hereby declares its intent to annex the rollowing described unincorporated land lying contiguous to the muni- cipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee and situated in Orange County, Florida, to its present municipal boundaries, thereby extending its territorial limits to include the said land within said territorial limits and to exercise rull power and authority over said land in ac- cordance with the Charter or the City or Ocoee, Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925, and the General Laws of the State or Florida, said land being more particularly described as follows: Lot 4, or R. A. Rewis Addition to Ocoee, according to plat thereof recorded in Plat Book "H'l, Page 109, Public Records of Orange County, Florida. Section 2. The City of Oeoee hereby declares its intent to enact an Ordinance at its first regular meeting held after the next ensuing thirty (30) days rrom the errective date of this Ordinance, thereby ordaining that the said land described in Section 1 hereor be annexed to the territorial limits or the City or Ocoee, and ordaining that the territorial limits of the City or Ocoee be extended to include the said land as described herein, and ordaining that rrom and after the efrective date or said Ordinance that the City of Oooee shall exercise rull power and authority over said land in accordance with the Charter of the City or Ocoee, Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925, and the General Laws or the State or Florida. Section 3. Copies or this Ordinance shall be posted as provided ror by law and the ,Charter or the City or Ocoee. Section 4. This Ordinance shall become passed by the City Council and approved Section 5. All Ordinances and parts or are hereby repealed. Section 6. Should any portion of this Ordinance be held invalid, then such portions as are not declared to be invalid shall remain in full rorce and errect. efrective immedfately when by the Mayor. / !
