HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 143 '--..... 0 RD I !IT AN C 1'70 . .1!..:1_ - AN ORDINANCEDECLARING TIE INT:~NTION OF '~E~ CITY OF' OCOEE TO iiNNEX A CER~eAIN ':rRACT OF UNINCORPO.FU'dr~D LAND V[L~G CONTIGUOUS TO frm;; HUNI- CIPAL BOUNDAHIES OF THE CI'rY OF' OCOEE AND SITUATED IN ORANGE COUN'rY, FLORIDA, to-wit: .............. \ Lot 22, Block 4 of the Town of Ococe, aceot:>ding to plat thereof re- corded in Plat Book tlA", Pages lOO-lOl, 'eublic Records of Ora.:;'lge County, Florida. vJHEREAS, the above described unincol'porated land is lying contiguous to the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida, and WHEREAS, said tract of land contains less than ten (10) registered voters, and WHEREAS, the said land is susceptible of receiving illilllicipal benefits of the City of Ocoee, and WHEREAS, the City of Ocoee desires to annex the said land to its present municipal boundaries in accordance with the provisions therefor in Section 67 of the Charter of the City of Ocoee, Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925, and Section 171.04 Florida statutes, now therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF 'fI:lli CITY OF OCOEE: Section 1. The City of Ocoee hereby declares its intent to annex the following described unincorporated land lying contiguous to the muni- cipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee and situated in Orange County, Florida, to its present municipal boundaries, thereby extending its territorial limits to include the said land within said territorial limits and to exercise full p,ower and authority over said land in ac- cordance with the Charter of the City of Ocoee, Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925, and the General Laws of the State of Florida, said land being more particularly described as follows: Lot 22, Block 4 of the Town of Ocoee, according to plat thereof re- corded in Plat Book IIA", Pages 100-101, Public Records of Orange County, Florida. Section 2. The City of Ocoee hereby declares its intent to enact an ordinance at its first regular meeting held after the next ensuing thirty (30) days from the effective date of this Ordinance, thereby ordaining that the said land described in Section 1 hereof be annexed to the territorial limits of the City of Ocoee, and ordaining that the territorial limits of the City of Ocoee be extended to include the said land as described herein, and ordaining that from and after the effective date of said Ordinance that the City of Ocoee shall exercise full power and authority over said land in accordance with the Charter of the City of Ocoee, Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925, and the General Laws of the State of Florida. Section 3. Copies of this Ordinance shall be posted as provided for by law and the Charter of the City of Ocoee. Section 4. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage and approval by the Mayor, or upon its becoming a law with- out such approval. Section 5. All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 6.
