AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, ANNEXING A CERTAIN TRACT-
OF UNINCORPORATED LAND LYING CONTINGUOUS TO THE MU1IICIPAL BOUNDARIES
OF THE CITY OF OCOEE AND SITUATED IN ORANGE COm~TY, FLORIDA, to-wit:
Lot 39 of B. M. Sims' Subdivision of Block 1 of the Town of Ocoee, ac-
cording to plat thereof recorded in Plat Book F, Page 126, Public re-
cords of Orange County, Florida
WHEREAS, the above described unincorporated land is lying contiguous
to the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida, and
WHEREAS, said tract of land contains less than ten (10) registered
voters,and
WHEREAS, said land is susceptible or receiving municipal benefits of
the City of Ocoee, and
WHEREAS, the City of Ocoee did on the 3rd day of August, 1954, duly
adopt an Ordinance declaring its intent to annex the land described
hereinabove to its present municipal boundaries in accordance with the
provisi~therefor in Section 67 of the Charter of the City of Ocoee,
Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925, and Section l~(l. 04
Florida Statutes, and
wHEREAS, said Ordinance was duly posted as prescribed by law upon said
lands and in said City of Ocoee for the period prescribed by law, and
WHEREAS, no objection to said annexation has been filed in the Circuit
Court of Orange County, Florida, now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE:
Section 1. That the municipal bOUTH:iaries of the City of Ocoee, Florida,
be, and they hereby are, extended to include the following described
land lying and situated in Orange County, Florida, and, that said tract
of land be, and it hereby is, annexed to the municipal territory of the
City of Ocoee, Florida, said land being more particularly described as
follows:
Lot 39 of B. M. Sims' Subdivision of Block 1 of the Town of Ocoee, ac-
cording to plat thereof recorded in Plat Book F, Page l26, Public re-
cords of Orange County, Florida.
Section 2. That the City of Ocoee shall and will from the effective
date of this Ordinance exercise full power and authority over the land
described in Section 1 hereof, in accordance with the Charter of the
City of Ocoee, Chapter 10951, Special Acts 1925, and the General Laws
of the State of Florida, as fully and completely as the City of Ocoee
now exercises power, authol'i ty and jurisdiction over other lands wi thin
its municipal limits.
Section 3. Copies of this Ordinance shall be posted as provided for
by law and the Charter of the City of Ocoee.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
becoming a law.
Section 5. All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 6. Should any portion of this Ordinance be held invalid, then
such portion as are not declared to be invalid shall remain in full
force and effect.
