AN ORErINAl~<::;E OF THE: CI1I'Y OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, ANNEXING A CERTAIN TRACT
OF maNCORPORATED LAND LYING CONTIGUOUS TO r:LlIE lvIUNICIPAL BOUNDARlliS
OF THE CIr:L1Y OH' OCOEE AND SITUATED Hl ORANGE COmITY, FLORIDA, TO-VJIT:
Lot 23, Block L~ of the TOltffi of Ocoee, according to plat thereof recorded
in Plat Book lIAll, Pages 100-101, Public Records of Orange County,Florida.
WF~REAS, the above described unincorporated land is lying contiguous to
the municipal boundaries of the City of ucoee, Florida, and
\^JIfffiEAS, said tract of land . contains less than ten (10) registered voters,
and
WHEREAS, said land is susceptible of receiving municipal benefits of the
City of Ocoee, and
.viHEREAS, the City of Ocoee did on the 7th day of December, 1954.' duly
adopt an Ordinance declaring its intent to annex the land described
hereinabove to its present mlll1icipal boundaries in accordance with the
provisions therefor in Section 67 of the Charter of the Ci 'bJ of Ccoee,
Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925,and Section 171.04
Florida Statutes, and
WHEREAS, said Ordinance was duly posted as prescribed by law upon said
land and in said City of Ocoee for the period prescribed by law, and
WHEREAS, no objection to said annexation has been filed in the Circuit
Court of Orange County, Florida, now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY T}E CITY COffi\CIL OF TIill CITY OF OCCEE:
Section 1. That the municipal boundaries of the City of vcoee, Florida,
be, and they hereby are, extended to include the following described
land lying and situated in Orange County, Florida, and, that said tract
of land be, and it hereby is, annexed to the municipal territory of the
City of Ocoee, Florida, said land being more particularly described as
follows:
Lot 23, Block L~ of the TOvrD of Ccoee, accoI'ding to plat thereof recorded
in Plat Book "A", Pages 100-101, Public Records of Orange County, Florida.
Section 2. That the City of Ceoee shall and will from the effective
date of tbis Ordinance exercise full povJeI' and authority over the land
described in Section 1 hereof, in accordance with the Charter of the
City of ucoee, Chapter 10951, Special Acts, Florida Legislature, 1925,
and the General Laws of the State of Florida, as fully and completely
as the City of Ccoee now exercises power, authority and jurisdiction over
other lands It.rith its rtllmieipal lirnits.
Section 3. Copies of this Ordinance shall be posted as provided for by
la1l-l and the Charter of the City of vcoee.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its
becoming a law.
Section 5. All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section 6. Should any portion of this Ordinance be held invalid, then
such portion as are not declared to be invalid shall remain in full force
and effect.
Done in open session, at Ocoee, Orange County, Florida, this 7th
day of January, 1955.
