HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 107 t'F , V....v("" , ~ AN OlmINANCE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLOItIDA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ANNEX A CE:tTAIN TRACT OF LliND LYING IN ORANGE COU~"TY, FIDRIDA, TO-WIT: Lots 37 and 38 of Blook 4, Town of: Ocoee, according to the Plat thereof: recorded in Plat Book A,p~~ 100, of: the public records of Orange County, Florida.o WHEREAS, the above desoribed lands are lying oontiguous to the munioipal boundaries of the City cf Ocoee, Florida, and WHEREAS, the said tract oontains less than ten registered voters, as property owners, and WHEREAS, the said lands are susceptible of reoeiving municipal benefits of the City of Oooea, and WHEREAS, the City of Oooee desires to annex the said lands to its present municipal territory in aooordance with the provisions therefor in seotion 67 of the Charter of the City of Oooee, Chapter 10951 Special Acts Florida Legislature, 1925, and Seotion l7l.04 Florida Statutes, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA: Seotion l. The City of Oooee, Florida, hereby deolares its intent to annex the following desoribed lands lying and situate in Orange County Florida, to its present munioipal territory, thereby extending its territotial limits to include the said lands within said terri- torial limits and to exercise full power and authority over said lands in aocordanoe with the Charter of the City of Ocoee, Florida,. Chapter 10951 Speoial Aots Florida Legislature, 1925~ and the General Laws of the State of Florida, said lands being more particu- larly desoribed as follows: Lots 37 and. 38 of Block 4, Town of: Oooee, acc.ording to the Plat thereof re corded in Plfo\t Book A, page 100, of: the publiC records of Orange County, Florida. Seotion 2. The Ci~ of Ocoee hereby deolares its intent to enact an ordinance at its first regular meeting held arter the next en- suing thirty days from the effeotive date of this ordinance, thereby ordaining that the said lands desoribed in section 1 hereof be annexed to the territorial limits of the City of Ocoee, and that from and after the effective date of said ordinance that the City of Oooee exercise full power and authority over said lands in aocordanoe with the Charter or the City of Ocoee and the Laws of the State of Florida. Section 3. This ordinanoe shall become erreotive immediately when passed by the City Counoil and approved by the Mayor. Seotion 4. Copies of this ordinance shall be posted as provided for by law and the Charter or the City or Ocoee. Section 5. Should any portion of this ordinanoe be held invalid, then such portions as are not declared to be invalid shall remain in full force and efrect. Section 6.
