HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance 104 r , ~/ 'h^--;-".,..".,..-~ _......-,!,~,- AN OlU>INANCE OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ANNEX A CERTAIN TRACT OF LAND LYING IN ORANGE COU~TYJ FIDRIDAJ TO-WIT: Lots 50 and 51, Block 3, Town of Ocoee, according to the Plat thereof recorded in Plat Book A, page 100, of the public records of Orange County, Florida. WHEREAS, the above desoribed lands are lying oontiguous to the municipal boundaries of the City of Ocoeo, Florida. and WHEREAS, the said traot oontains 1es8 than ten registered voters, as property owners, and WHEREAS, the said lands are susoeptible of reoeiving municipal benefits of the City of Oooee, and WHEREAS. the City of Ocoee desires to annex the said lands to its present munioipal territory in acoordanoe with the provisions therefor in seotion 67 of the Charter of the City ofOcoee, Chapter l0951 Special Acts Florida Legislature, 1925, and Section 171.04 Florida Statutes, NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF OCOEE, FLORIDA: Seo~lon 1. The City of Ocoee, Florida, hereby deolares ita intent to annex the following described lands lying and situate in Orange County Florida, to its present municipal territory, thereby extending its territotial limits to inolude the said lands within said terri- torial limits and to exercise full power and authority over laid land. in aooordance With the Charter of the City of Oooee, Florida,. Chapter 109'1 Special Acts Florida Legislature, 1925, and the General Laws of the State of Florida, said lands being mere particu- larly described as follows. Lots 50 and 51, Blcok 3, Town of Ocoee, according to the Plat thereof recorded in Plat Book A, page 100, of the public records of Orange County, Florida. Section 2. The City of Ocoee hereby declares its intent to enact an ordinance at its first regular meeting held after the next en- suing thirty days from the efrcctive date of this ordinance, thereby ordaining that the said lands desoribed in seotion 1 hereof be annexed to the territorial limits of the City of Ocoee, and that from and after tho effective date of said ordinanoe that the City of Oooee exercise full power and authority over said lands in aooordanoe with the Charter of the City of Oooae and the Laws of the State of Florida. Section 3. This ordinanoe shall beoome effective immediately when passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor. Section 4. Copies of this ordinanoe shall be posted as provided for by law and the Charter of the City of Ooooe. Seotion 5. Should any portion of this ordinance be held invalid, then such portions as are not deolared to be invalid shall remain in full force and effeot. Seotion 6. All ordinanoes and parts of ordinanoes in conflict here- with are hereby repealed. Passed by the Council this ~day of //I/~ , 1952. .
