WHEREAS, an additional amount is necessary as de- termined by the City Council of the City of Ocoee, Florida, to meet the requirements of the City of Ocoee for the pay- ment of the Lester Harris judgment during the tax collection year which begins on November 1, 1941, and which ends on October 31, 1942, said additional amount being the sum of $7 , 963 . 59, and " WHEREAS, a tax levy on all taxable, real and per- J A , sonal property within the City of Ocoee 18 R88888&P11y ~ ~~ .. made in the amount of 86 mills on the properties within the present boundaries of the Oi ty of ocoe~~ WHEREAS, the said tax levy is nowAallocated to the payment of a judgment of the said Lester Harris, in the full amount of 86 mills, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF OCOEE: Section 1. That the sum of $7,963.59 or suah portion thereof as may be realiz~.d from the collection of the tax millage levied as aforesaid (l:t1Jaddit~on to pre- vious allocations made for the benefit of Lester Harris), be and the same is allocated and appropriated to the full satisfaction of the Lester Harris judgment. Section 2. That this ordinance shall become ef- fective upon its becoming an ordinance. Section 3. That all ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith be, and are, to the ex- tent of such conflict hereby repealed. WHEREAS, The City assessment roll has been submitted to the City Council after due and proper no- tice, and a review and equalization of sa~d~ssessment roll by the City Council has been concluded, and . WHEREAS, iUl alternative Writ of Mandamus has been issued~~~t the City of Ocoee for the purpose of securing a levY sufficient to oay a judgment in favor of Lester Harris in the amount of $10,022.10, and ' WBEREAS, a~mlllage'of " 86m11ls:;b.a$.J)"~n~.tlx~d as the necessary millage to produce the funds sufficient to pay the judgrn.ent-~f Lester Harris c~ BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF OCOEE: Section 1.Th~t a levy of 86 mills be and the sgme is hereby made dh all of the real property within the present boundaries of the City of Ocoee.
